The lyrics are characterized by strong symbolism and metaphors. It is a description of a relationship between two people, in which a woman appears as a being of a dual, almost magical nature. On the one hand, she is presented as ivy - a symbol of slow, addictive entrapment, on the other as a woman-vamp - intense, seductive.
The protagonist of the song appears as a person with conflicting emotions: on the one hand, there is fascination and admiration for the woman, and on the other, there is a desire to free himself from her influence.
The vocal melody combined with strong rhythmic accents and disturbing guitar sounds create an atmosphere of a dark, almost gothic character, perfectly reflecting the climate of a destructive relationship.
