Huminal teams up with Dutch producer Mitch de Klein for the mesmerizing Mirage EP, marking Mitchs debut on Purified Records. Opening with the collaborative title track, Mirage, the duo delivers a deep yet playful journey built around groovy synth motifs and textured sound design, blending driving momentum with an effortlessly laidback edge. Intricate layers of rhythm and harmony create a uniquely infectious identity, perfectly balancing energy and finesse. On the flip side, Mitch presents his solo cut Night Owl - an atmospheric excursion guided by emotive synth lines and expansive break moments. With its otherworldly character and evolving intensity, the track delivers a powerful late-night voyage. Together, Mirage and Night Owl showcase both artists refined approach to melodic techno and deep house, while introducing Mitchs sound to the Purified community. When Paul Woolford adopted his Special Request alias again last year for the 'Belief System' album, we kind of lost our shit. The LP was one of our favourites of 2018 and once again cemented Woolford as a certified master of the scene.

At the end of the year we crowned Nina Kraviz as our DJ of the Year and ultimately it was an easy decision to make. Her sets are electric, her label, трип, is one of the most forward-thinking and genre-bending imprints in the world and her parties buck the formulaic trend that most follow.

When we found out that Nina was remixing 'Curtain Twitcher' by Special Request, we jumped at the chance to listen. When we realised she'd done not one but two remixes, well we were sold.

Here is the premiere of Kraviz's Alice Was Here remix and it's more of the brilliant same. A true meeting of magical minds.

Premiere: Special Request 'Curtain Twitcher' (Nina Kraviz Alice Was Here Remix)

Monnom Black will mark its 17th release with its first various artist compilation presented on triple vinyl. Keeping with the label’s modus operandi, the compilation is packed with iconic, raw and uncompromising techno, featuring 13 artists new and old to the imprint, including a re-release of a classic Drax aka Thomas P. Heckmann track from 1993.

To coincide with the launch of the compilation, Monnom Black will hold its first highly-anticipated label party. Locking arms with the notorious underground Dutch promoters Reaktor, known for their challenging events and pushing the boundaries of what techno has to offer. Together they will celebrate with an electronic onslaught on New Year’s Eve in Amsterdam’s Elementstraat Warehouse. A location cut to the bone that perfectly encapsulates the label and promoters combined vision and ethos.

Dax J curates the night fusing the label together for a special moment in time, with the titan warehouse opening up two of its rooms hosting a monster line up with the likes of CJ Bolland, Regis as CUB, Thomas P. Heckmann, I Hate Models, UVB, Stranger, Zanias, Cressida, Inhalt Der Nacht, Raffaele Attanasio, Tommy Holohan and Remco Beekwilder.
