🎵 „Fly Away (R.I.P. Jenni💞Maus †27) – A Tribute“

Dieser Track gehört einer einzigen Seele.
Jennifer – meiner Partnerin, Gefährtin, Muse.
Dem Menschen, den ich viele Jahre lang begleitet, geliebt und so gut es ging beschützt habe.

Musikalisch trägt dich „Fly Away“ auf etwa 131 BPM durch ein F-Dur / D-Moll-geprägtes Klangfeld:
warme Lowmids, ein tragender, aber nicht übertriebener Bass und fein schimmernde Höhen.
Die Lautheit bleibt über die ganze Länge erstaunlich konstant – keine brutalen Brüche, sondern ein fließender Bogen, der eher erzählt als schockt.

Die ersten Sekunden schweben in weichen Flächen, das Spektrum hängt tief in den Mitten.
Dann setzt ein stabiler 4/4-Puls ein – kein hysterischer Peak-Time-Drop, sondern ein Herzschlag, der einfach weitergeht.
So klingt es, wenn man jemandem innerlich noch Dinge sagt, die im Außen längst nicht mehr ankommen.

Ihr Weg wurde dunkel, ihre Stimmen zu laut.
Ich musste lernen, dass Liebe vieles tragen kann – aber nicht alles heilen muss.
Dieser Track ist ein Gespräch mit ihr, ein letzter Tanz, ein Fragment von dem, was uns verbunden hat.

Er erzählt von drei Jahren unzertrennlicher Nähe und sieben Jahren Kampf, Hoffnung, Rückfällen, Lachen, Finsternis, Licht.
Von Schuldgefühlen, die keine Schuld sind.
Von Rettungsversuchen, die größer waren als meine Kräfte.
Von einer Liebe, die bleibt – auch wenn der Mensch gegangen ist.

Die Melodien steigen aus dem warmen Mittenbett immer wieder nach oben, die Höhen öffnen sich vorsichtig –
als würde der Track sie noch einmal anheben, bevor er sie loslässt.
Nichts bricht abrupt weg.
Alles fließt aus – so, wie man jemanden freigibt, ohne ihn je zu vergessen.

Diese Musik hält fest, was Worte nicht können:
Dankbarkeit.
Vermissen.
Frieden.
Und den Wunsch, dass du endlich dort bist, wo nichts mehr wehtut.

Ich werde dich nie vergessen.
Und nein – das wird nicht der letzte Track für dich gewesen sein.

Hot on the heels of their second release comes a third essential offering from SRVD aka Radio Slave & Patrick Mason.

The Rekids boss linked with Patrick Mason—a young creative at the forefront of Berlin’s art, fashion, dance music and LGBT scene—back in 2018 after they struck up a friendship in Panorama Bar. Now their superb studio work continues to bear fruit inspired by New York’s vogue scene, and these latest two tracks are perfect impactful once more.

The hard-hitting techno opener ‘Talking 2 B Mad’ is built on rock solid drums that never let up. Industrial synth fizzes twisted vocal loops and icy hi hats add detail to the most physical groove, which cannot fail to get you moving. On the flip, ‘Twitch' is just as physical and direct, this time with big synths suspending you in midair as the hammering drums seem to grow in size. It’s frenzied techno that is designed to make you sweat.

DLV is the driving force behind Acid Techno Techno Club and now self-releases three of his powerful dance floor weapons.  

Acid Techno Techno Club is an organization run by DLV that meets to discuss, show, and promote acid techno in a local community setting and it has given the Austrian artist and party promoter a cult following both locally and internationally. His hard hitting, no frills and direct sound is pure fire on the dance floor and can be heard on his remixes for KAS:ST and Hadone, in addition to his pounding sets at his parties. 

'Rave instructor' has lasers fired out of a gun shooting across a flat footed kick drum that prowls you forwards. Vocal stabs add fuel to the fire and eventually a frazzled synth breaks free to get hands in the air. The excellent ‘Space Machine' is another futurist techno banger, with twisted acid lines weaving in and out of the hammering drums while bright synth patterns light up the skies. Last but not least, 'Transmission' brings darker energies with its stomping kicks, industrial textures and old school breakbeat flourishes all making for a hugely physical and immediate impact.

We know it. You know it. Alignment is here to stay. Delivering the next round of high quality tracks on vinyl for VN043, his „Orderly Chaos“ EP mirrors our suspicious times like nothing else but techno can. 

With its main title „Orderly Chaos“ consisting of well balanced leads chasing a never ending drum programming, the consistent kick drum does what its used to do: thumping your already vibrating stomach. An early classic already, with a reasoned arrangement attached. 

We’re about to enter quicker territories on A2 by the name of „Future Dancefloor“. Clearly focussed on satisfying the biggest sound systems around, once possible again. For the time being, a forward moving rhythm infiltrates small vocal hits on this one, piercing the perfect state of rave. 

„Into The Unknown“ follows this mantra perfectly. Detailed synth placements evolve a steadily riding hi-hat shuffle, incorporating the flowing drumming which comes with it. On top of it, energising pad lines do their thing in catching us during a perfect breakdown. 

Second b-side flip is „Dark Space“, with the name saying it all. A distinctively darker sound atmosphere is paired with modulated patterns, systematically pushing the groove underneath. It’s a next stage of production class, with harmonic elements driving one’s imagination further. A perfect closing for your next, physical music purchase.
