Jonathan Patz is director of the Global Health Institute at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In this talk, he explores the connection between human health and reduction in carbon emissions. He quantifies the health savings costs that come with lowering pollution levels, and explores a possible net monetary gain resulting from investing in climate change policy. He examines this through discussing air pollution, livible cities, and the food system.
