KRANKEN is a dj dedicated to the oldskool gabber and rave sounds. Inspired by the early hardcore movement in Rotterdam, the aesthetics of gabber artwork, the distorted 909’s, jumpstyle and happy repetitive melodies, he finds himself in the revival of an old movement. As part of two Ghentian collectives (STIMULAR & Zeitgeist) he’s trying to bring back gabber into the nightlife of the city.
