AVA. Records celebrates its 10th anniversary with 52 artists. 10 Yahre is a 4LP compilation housing 22 tracks, a printed 30 pages magazin and a mixed CD. All wrapped in a custom made silkscreen sleeve, also including a textile keychain and stickers. Sonically spanning from ambient to techno, 10 Yahre carries new and exclusive material, all woven around the label’s decade focus on dance floor culture, started 2011 in Cologne, Germany.

For our first edition of Carhartt WIP Radio in 2020 we warmly welcome back Twit One from Cologne. The producer, dj and Groove Attack record store co-owner is no stranger to our radio program, having already conducted a hip hop show in 2017, consisting of his very own productions under diverse aliases, from Twit One to Tito Wun and Flatpocket as well as collaborations with artists like Flo Mega and Henry Wu.

This time, Twit One introduces Augenringe unter dem dritten Auge Records, abbreviated to A.U.D.D.A., his very own hip hop-and-beyond label. So far his label has featured releases by his long-standing friend Lazy Jones, poet PB Louison, US hip hop producer Kan Kick, Berlin beatsmith Suff Daddy, and other unusual music, like an esoteric swinging ambient tape with yoga instructions, that no other hip hop label would drop. For his Carhartt WIP A.U.D.D.A. Radio show, he has brought some of their music together, to create a musical narrative that also features found spoken word and some yet unfinished, but already thrilling sketches of tunes.

In-between a hectic pre-xmas dj schedule and shortly before his new Testiculo Y Uno album, produced with his friend Hulk Hodn, comes out, Twit One also found some time to chat on the phone with us, giving insight about his label, its philosophy and its future. Testiculo Y Uno are Hulk Hodn and Twit One, two producers from Cologne, Germany. In 2009 they produced the first volume of the ground-breaking Hi-Hat Club series that kicked off the careers of beatmakers like Suff Daddy, Dexter and Brenk Sinatra.

10 years later Hulk Hodn and Twit One have recorded a second Testiculo Y Uno album called “Two”. The LP comes in a special cover with printed inner sleeve.

Syrup is a new group from London, England and Cologne, Germany. The group consists of producer Twit One, pianist & singer C.Tappin and rapper Turt (Summers Sons). Their style of music is called Cool Bap. 

“Burnt Out” is their first single. Technically, it's the second release by Syrup if
you are counting in “A Little Less”, a song that came out via First Word
Records as Twit, Turt & Tappin.

The three of them first met at a club in Bristol some years ago, where Twit played a DJ gig. They quickly became friends and have been working on music together ever since. In 2017 Twit brought Turt and Tappin over to Cologne to perform at the legendary Radio Love Love boat party. In the same year Summers Sons released „Undertones“, their first EP for Melting Pot Music, followed by “Uhuru” (2018) and “The Rain” (2019) and C.Tappin's debut EP
“Ashes To Ashes” (2019).
