This song is about the courageous Great Ormond Street Hospital security guards who are on strike against discrimination, poor pay and conditions.  They are standing up for all our rights.

A depressing song inspired by the scary times we live in, overshadowed by political shambles and all sorts of doom and gloom wherever you look. Not exactly cheerful I'm afraid... I actually started out as an attempt to write a song like the wonderful Isaac Gracie's tune "Last Words", so I started with those chords and then got sidetracked into a different kind of dark rabbit hole, and this came out instead.

Verse 1 & 2 
There’s left and right, and black and white
And nothing in between 
The world is watching as the fight erupts upon the screen.

No space for rhyme or reason now,
Just escalating scenes
Of bigots riling up the crowds for their own twisted dreams.

That our eyes don’t see … the end approaching now?
The cracks in the trembling ground,
Foundations crumbling down,
The darkness all around,

Their words are poison cutting through the noise and 
Dripping into open ears,
Instilling fear and killing any hope we had.

Pointless power games
While humanity hangs by a thread.
