Born and raised in Rheinfelden, Switzerland, since his youth he has been contributing to the spread of Disco Music, predominantly Italian, in the Basel region. Countless trips to Rimini to places like Altro Mondo Studio, Peter Pan, and other discotheques of the time have left an indelible mark on his tastes as a DJ. His visits to Italy's trendiest record store, Disco Più, always ended with the purchase of numerous new pieces to offer to a limited audience. But the great tradition of Funk, Soul, Jazz, and Rap from overseas also helped shape his favorites. James Brown first and foremost, followed by Kool and the Gang, Earth Wind & Fire, Michael Jackson, Sugar Hill Gang, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, Patrick Cowley, and the entire Italo Dance scene of the 80s completed the picture. Then came the 90s, the consecration. As a DJ, he wins the DJ Contest for Northwestern Switzerland and qualifies for the octaves at Black Out in Zurich. He also wins there and reaches the semi-finals at Manhattan in Zug, where he advances to the finals at the Montreux Casino, achieving an excellent fourth place. From then on, numerous stages with collaborations, including radio appearances. LUI Deejay, also known as Lucio DJ, reaches the radio waves with his first appearance on the first pirate radio station in Alsace. Radio Italia in St. Louis was the launching pad before moving on to Radio Europa, where he hosted the Hitparade for many years. He meets various artists whom he interviews, including Antonello Venditi, Vasco Rossi, a very young Lorenzo Cherurbini (Jovanotti), and others. As for his radio vein, he has been inspired since his youth by the greats of Italian private radio. Among them, Albertino stands out, whom he met directly at the Via Massena studios in Milan during a personal visit. Claudio Cecchetto, Linus, Federico "l'olandese volante," Gerry Scotti, and all the big names in the radio panorama have always been boundless sources of inspiration for him. A deep connoisseur of radio jingles, he has also produced and hosted shows at Radio Kanal K in Aarau, where he has been living with his family for over ten years. LUI Deejay is a staple in the dance music scene and the world of radio.
Nato e cresciuto a Rheinfelden Svizzera, fin da ragazzo contribuisce alla difusione della Disco Music prevalentemente italiana nella regione di Basilea. Innumerevoli viaggi a Rimini agli Altro Mondo Studio, al Peter Pan e altre Discoteche dell'epoca hanno lasciato un impronta indelebile nei gusti di LUI Deejay. Le sue visite al negozio più In di dischi in Italia, il Disco Più, sono sempre finite con l'acquisto di innumerevoli pezzi nuovi da proporre a un pubblico limitato. Ma anche la grande tradizione di musica Funk, Soul, Jazz e del Rap di oltreoceano, hanno contribuito a formare i preferiti. James Brown in primis seguito dagli Kool and the Gang, gli Earth Wind & Fire, Michael Jackson, Sugar Hill Gang, Grandmaster Flash and the furiose Five, Patrick Cowley, e tutta la Italo Dance degli anni '80 hanno fatto il resto. Negli anni'90 poi la consacrazione. Come DJ vince il DJ Contest per la Nordwestschweiz e si qualifica per gli ottavi al Black Out di Zurigo. Vince anche li e approda alle semifinali al Manhattan di Zugo dove passa in finale al Casinò di Montreux raggiungendo un ottimo quarto posto. Da li in poi innumerevoli stage's con collaborazioni anche radiofoniche. LUI Deejay, anche conosciuto come Lucio DJ raggiunge l'etere radiofonico con una prima apparizione nella prima Radio pirata in Alsazia. Radio Italia a St. Louis fu il trampolino di lancio per poi approdare a Radio Europa, dove conduce per tanti anni la Hitparade. Conosce vari artisti che intervista tra i quali Antonello Venditi, Vasco Rossi un giovanissimo Lorenzo Cherurbini (Jovanotti) e altri. Per quanto riguarda la sua vena radiofonica si ispira sin da giovane ai mostri sacri delle radio private italiane. Uno su tutti Albertino, incontrato direttamente negli studi di Via Massena a Milano in occasione di una visita personale. Claudio Cecchetto, Linus, Federico l'olandese volante, Gerry Scotti e tutti i grandi nomi dell panorama radiofonico sono sempre stati delle fonti inesauribili alle quali si è sempre ispirato. Profondo conoscitore dei claim radiofonici ha prodotto e condotto anche trasmissioni presso la Radio Kanal K di Aarau dove da oltre dieci anni vive con la famiglia. LUI Deejay  è una sicurezza nel giro della musica dance e nel mondo della radio.
