"Smells like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana x"Californication" by Red Hot Chili Peppers

It's my spring break right now so I finally have time to make a mashup! (I really wish I had more time to do school related things but school is really busy.) I spent over 24 hours obsessing over this throughout a five day time span on this mashup.  This song has over 20 different song sections combined together.

Now I'm just going to talk a little about this track (even though I don't really think anyone will read this; i just want to write). I first heard "Californication" because I was inspired by "West Coast" by The Neighbourhood to check out songs about California. "Wow! These lyrics are genius!" I thought. Later, I heard this song again in my engineering class. I heard the beginning instrumental part and totally thought this was teen spirit, which inspired me to mash these two songs up. 

This mashup gave me so much trouble. For example, I couldn't get the audio and instrumental tracks of the same song to match up exactly (they would get off beat 15 seconds later).  At one time, I had to make the vocal track 105 bpm while the instrumental was 106 bpm because that matched better than the vocal track at 106 bpm. At the end, it got tedious making this and I just wanted to finish but I was also enjoying it obsessing over every single detail. I don't think it's totally perfect now but honestly I can keep editing this forever.
