New episode alert! For our first episode of the year of the rabbit, we are tackling an AWESOME top 5 list. One that has been in the works for a while now and is very special to us both, as martial artists, as well as film enthusiasts. Listen in as we give our personal favorite films that revolve around the concept of Bushido- the way of the warrior. Originally a moral code concerning Samurai values and ethics, this concept of honor and diligence can still be found in everyday life in Japan, but particularly when it comes to the world of martial arts. More than just a mastery of the physical side, Bushido can be looked at as an ethical compass to guide one’s existence, maintaining the highest levels of honor, sincerity, and loyalty. This episode was a lot of fun, and although our lists had some similarities, they also had A LOT of differences. Spread across multiple genres, eras and styles, we give you a plethora of Bushido themed films that you will hopefully take the time to check out in the near future! Episode one of the 'Martial Arts Mania Podcast' where we sit down with our sensei, coach and guru Peter 'Sugarfoot' Cunningham! He discusses his beginnings in the martial arts and his illustrious Kickboxing career and how he came to be a 7x World Champion. In this episode we solely discuss his career in the martial arts.
