I'm not really sure what genre this track is... i feel like I'm currently doing musical theatre, but I don't remember ever signing up to do so!

Anyway, the words here come from my experience of meditating on Mars at dawn on his day, Tuesday: 

Too many tears,
Deluge and flood, 
The Earth is mired
In marsh and mud
That only fire of Mars can dry.

Too much hot air
From profiteers
Fans the camp fires 
Of strife and war,
That Mars arrives to provide. 

Our men are gone,
Our children sold,
Our lives destroyed,
Our cities dust,
In this they call the great game

And only the oligarchs gain. 


There was a time, before the Age of Iron,  
When Mars was not just the god of war.
But that was in a different aeon,
A time when the wise were aware
That when winter had done its work,
Only the cobalt gnomes of Mars 
Could awaken seeds from their sleep
In the frozen soils of Earth’s dark,
And fire them up to arise, their spring
Flowers like flames reaching for the Sun. 


But if we ask, Mars will be our guide, 
If we appeal to him, invite him in.
To fit our inner armour of steel,
To forge our iron shield and sword
And fill us with the fire of will,
So that we can defend our life’s road
Standing sovereign, proud and tall
No longer the weak victims of those

Take it all away

I wrote these words after meditating on Jupiter at dawn, in which he showed me how J.M. Barrie's play about the fairy Tinkerbell sewing back on Peter Pan's shadow was actually a metaphor for a deeper teaching. 

Some of you may recognise the middle section. I hold my hands up...yes, it comes from Holst's Jupiter. But my excuse is that I've never heard a piece of music that so accurately reflects my own experience of the warm generosity and exuberance of this planetary logos.😇

How to deal with chronic pain? In 2013 I made the last attempt to combat recurring physical pain with tablets and various treatments. Everything did not help and actually only made it worse.- Until I understood on a meditative walk that it is about accepting this pain unconditionally, to see it as a friend and good companion, who comes to visit me again and again, especially when I have pushed something away or ignored it.
Freddy, who experienced this time, accompanied me during the recording of this track on the acoustic guitar.

Deutscher Singer-Songwriter über fünfzig Jahre alt. Seit fast vierzig Jahren schreibe und singe ich Lieder. Mein Hauptinstrument ist die akustische Gitarre, aber ich mag auch Perkussionsinstrumente (Cajon, Maracas, Gurio). Ich liebe es, melancholische und poetische Balladen zu komponieren. Aber manchmal schreibe ich auch (schwarze) humorvolle Songs, Jazzstyle und -Rocksongs. Meine Hauptsprache ist Deutsch. Aber in Zukunft will ich mehr Songs auf Englisch und vereinzelt auch Französisch schreiben.
In meinen Kompositionen bin ich inspiriert von Leonard Cohen, John Lennon, Jacques Brel, Van Morrison und Bob Dylan. Auf meinen Platten spiele und singe ich alles alleine. Meine Vision für die Zukunft ist es, Musiker aus verschiedenen Kulturen zu finden, die gerne ihre Tracks mit mir teilen wollen.
Mein persönliches Mantra ist ein Satz, der von Paul Mccartney auf dem Beatles-Album "Abbey Road auf dem Track "In the end" vor fast Fünfzig Jahren geschrieben wurde:
