About Leopold: 🐻
His musical journey began around 1998, immersing himself in the world of techno music. Influenced by artists such as Rino Cerrone and Danilo Vigorito, as well as the releases from Theory and Ingoma, he found early inspiration. 
The mix CD series "Favorite Tools" from Austria held particular significance during this time, serving as his primary source of musical exploration on CDs. As Beatport emerged and vinyl gradually faded, he recognized the evolving landscape of music.

As the prevalence of minimal, slower techno expanded, he embarked on a journey to explore its raw, potent essence, echoing his fascination with genres like blues and punk. This amalgamation of diverse influences fueled his quest to carve out a unique musical identity and seek novel creative avenues.

Today, his mission is to infuse his past influences into contemporary times, 
integrating the vigor and authenticity of the underground scene. 
He aspires to bridge the gap between past and present while staying true to 
the core elements that have captivated him since his inception into the realm of electronic music.

Welcome to the Visions Podcast # 5.

I am proud to introduce a top DJ, a fellow NRG Radio DJ and one of my longest friends all the way from childhood Jeffacus.

Jeffacus has been involved in making music most of his life.
Whether this was playing Violin at school and the North East Youth Orchestras or teaching himself to play the bass guitar and then using this play in a band when he was at university. You could say that music has been in his blood since birth.
Today DJing is very much is weapon of choice

Early influences in House music, Jazz, Funk, Soul and Disco have become prominent throughout his musical life and with DJing now he has found his own unique style of blending all his favourite genres into one musical journey in each mix.

The Jazz funk sounds of Jamiroquai and the disco sounds of Michael Jackson and Chic would inspire Jeffacus and new directions would follow as he experimented more with house music.
He credits hearing the sounds of Armand Van Heldens remix of Tori Amos' Professional Widow for the first time that changed everything when it comes to House music.

Building up this eclectic range has given him now the ingredients to create his own mixes and Jeffacus has took to the decks really well, carving out a signature sound he likes to call HouseyFunkyDiscoMixey!
Experimenting with jazzier mixes, Drum and Bass sounds to, plus a regular slot on NRG Radio doing a Tech House show on Saturdays he has shown his versatility, but its that funky disco dancefloor sound that he likes the most and a sound he has made his own.

This mix is a snap shot of his influences, his top tracks and more importantly his style.

I hope you all enjoy this mix, Jeff is a top man, he has been a very good friend of mine since we were very young. 
It brings me a lot of joy to see him doing so well.
