got an electronic drum kit and wanted to mess around w some mastering settings and live drums (finally a consistent set i can use). 

for any who are curious: 
guitars: played through fender mustang gtx50.
strumming track has reverb (think robin guthrie excessive lol), chorus, eq with 1000-1500Hz boosted.
third track is a whooshy distorted track with a stock reverb set to 10% dry and 90% wet signal, logic's pedalboard distortion, a flanger with the rate set very low, and stereo tremolo every 2 bars to give it the back-and-forth effect.

 i was shooting in the dark in terms of mastering (you can probably tell), but i used logic's reference eq against cocteau twins's heaven or las vegas, fotzepolitic, and frou-frou foxes in midsummer fires--and adjusted my master eq accordingly. 
drums played as well as i could. 
bass is played with the same effects as the strumming guitar tracks.

guitar is tuned to DAEAC#E, and the bass is tuned standard except the low E is tuned down to D to play those low root notes.

saw this as an exercise in timbre-matching.

effects and general processing for those who are curious:

drums :played live and converted to MIDI, has got a 300-3k Hz bandpass, effects include bitcrusher set to 14 bit resolution and 17.5 dB of drive plus a little compression (stock compression as far as im aware)

rhythm guitar: played through amp distortion and logic's pedalboard plus some reverb
lead guitar: same as rhythm guitar but set to high-end pickup on my guitar
bass: played through a guitar amp with some chorus+reverb to smoothen it a bit,
vocals: vocal eq i've been using even though i crafted it to a friend's voice, logic pedalboard warm distortion and a noise gate so my room fan noise wouldn't creep in
