Wind Waker is top tier Zelda soundtrack; this is hard to achieve, given that every Legend of Zelda OST is literally top tier anything soundtrack.  What might be considered the "worst" Zelda soundtrack is still miles ahead of most game soundtracks.  I'm biased, since I love Zelda, but I consider myself objective when in comes to music in the general sense.  The creativity and spirit that went into the WW music is undeniable.

This is my choral arrangement of "Sage Laruto" for my Hylian Chamber Choir album, for which, I am composing one choir remix for every game in the main LoZ series.  As of today, this is definitely my favorite on that album!  Generally, with this project, I've avoided adding accompaniment, but I've added it for the odd track, such as this one (I added some zither and temple bells) and the Song of Healing one I did for Majora's Mask (loads of bells to represent the chiming of the clock tower/passage of time) and the Spirit Tracks overworld cover (in which, I added some stomps from the singers to give it some gusto).  This one is a very "spiritual" piece, so I wanted it to sound somewhat archaic and mysterious.  The original composers for the Wind Waker OST are Koji Kondo, Toru Minegishi, Kenta Nagata and Hajime Wakai.

This is a mini medley of two themes from the Legend of Zelda series, Temple of Hylia from Skyward Sword, and Cave Shrine from Breath of the Wild (which I tend to associate specifically with the Spring of Courage).  It was created by myself and TPR.

This project was a dream come true.  I have always wanted to collaborate with TPR!  I think our two styles go together quite nicely, and that this track ended up being one of the prettiest things either of us have worked on! As with my previous Skywrad Sword and Breath of the Wild medley, I felt that these two themes were thematically, musically and aesthetically connected!  I still have one or two more SS and BotW mini-medleys planned.

Rebecca Tripp - Skyward Sword And Breath Of The Wild Remix - Hidden Shrines Ft TPR

After a year of mental planning, I've finally created a Breath of the Wild cover (the first of many to come).  This is my orchestral new age cover of the "Korok Forest" theme, which I have officially named "Legend of the Koroks".  All the wind parts were performed by my friend, Greg Orosz, AKA "Gamer of the Winds".  Check out his awesome channel here:  https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQFIzKI61fxibPgfPKeJQxw  He recorded the parts live on piccolo, flute, clarinet, bass clarinet, soprano saxophone and fife.  This was meant to be a sister piece to my other Greg-performed Zelda forest track, "Heart of the Sacred Grove" (the Sacred Grove theme from Twilight Princess). The entire Lost Woods section in BotW preceding my discovery of the central glade and Korok dwelling captivated me.  To this day, stumbling through the mists and finding the Korok Forest remains one of my most pleasurable memories from any video game.  The music was a large part of the reason for this!  I couldn't believe how spectacularly fresh and whimsical it all sounded.  ^_^  It took me nearly 12 months to get started on this remix, because it needed to be just right.  I had a VERY specific vision: I needed to capture something those first moments...  The Deku Tree, the Master Sword, the little bed prepared for the legendary swordsman, the timid, playful Koroks darting out of sight...  :'0  The original composers for BotW were Manaka Kataoka, Yasuaki Iwata and the glorious Hajime Wakai.

The Great Fairy is among the most intriguing and benevolent expressions of the Venusian goddess archetype(s).  She is the seductive Lady of the lake, she is Mab and Titania, Aphrodite in her pool: an illustrious Queen of nature.  An Empress of the woodland realm, and beauteous envoy of the gods.  It is in part due to her presence that the chosen hero is able to expand his abilities and condition himself for the sacred realm.  As, repeatedly, she tests his courage, generosity and virtue, she is a perpetual challenge of self betterment.

I did not take this arrangement lightly; this is something that I’ve been imagining in my mind for many years now.  Though I’ve technically already covered this song a fair few times (it’s in my LttP and OoT medleys for instance, and there is also an older standalone: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wlm8W_6aW24 ), I never truly felt that any of those arrangements really captured the aesthetic I wanted to convey with this piece.  It was actually kind of a similar situation with this fairy music as it was with Zelda’s Lullaby, which I eventually turned into “Divine Princess of Destiny” after years of brainstorming and pondering how I could ever begin to do such an iconic theme justice.  I kind of feel like this cover is a sister piece to that princess suite, since I used very similar instrumentation and style.

The versions of the Fairy Fountain theme from A Link to the Celts and Symphony of the Goddesses came a little closer to how I’ve always imagined a live version of the piece was supposed to sound.  I felt that both of those arrangements infused the melody with soul, elegance and beauty.  For my part, I longed with all my heart to make something that could stand next to those two masterpieces.  My version is a little “darker”, since I wanted something that would refill the listener’s magic meter in addition to their health-bar.  The SoTG and ALttC arrangements were very “heart” replenishing, with a little bit of magic on the side.  Hopefully, mine is very “magic” replenishing with a little bit of healing on the side.  For that reason I added in a spacey sounding synth in addition to the traditional/orchestral instruments.  My vision was to capture the subtler, more otherworldly Great Fairy, partially as an homage to the aforementioned greater archetype, of which the fairies in the Zelda franchise are merely an aspect.  Hopefully, this song blossoms in the listeners’ mind, sparkles in the ears and splashes gaily in the heart.

The Lake Hylia movement in my Twilight Princess Epic Orchestral Medley might be the best movement in the entire thing.  For months, I've been itching to make an extended version of it, but I decided to do that sooner, since a few people have commented on that part and a couple have asked me to make an extension of it.  I really hope this is enjoyable.  ^_^ The original is among the most relaxing and enchanting pieces in the Zelda series- a combination which I often seek out in music!  Hopefully, there is something of the beauty of the underwater scene and the serenity of the lake, of the grace of the zoras and the majesty of their architecture preserved in this arrangement.  I kept part of that Zora's Domain transition from my medley in the outro for this remix.

Starting off the year with one of my all time favorite tracks, Kakariko Village from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
