Falling Star was inspired by a specific moment I shared with a person I had only just met, and who would later become a friend. 
Without knowing his person, something within them drew me to them, and I felt that I could see beyond the facade. 
This song is about knowing someone...without really knowing them. 
‘Falling Star’ is the first song that I have recorded and released online.

Falling Star_Home Recording Session

After writing poetry for years, Gioia started exploring songwriting, and expressing her thoughts and feelings through music, at the end of 2019. 
During the lockdown in 2020, Gioia followed this new interest, and began online songwriting workshops with Australian singer/songwriter Brea Robertson, learning how to piece her thoughts together in a cohesive way.  
After writing a collection of original acoustic songs, Gioia finally shared them with a group of creatives at a Music and Art week, where she had the opportunity to workshop an original tune with Scottish singer/songwriter James Michael Rodgers. She has also started to collaborate with fellow creatives within her hometown of Weimar, Germany. 
As Gioia sings about the themes she is currently experiencing, seeing or hearing in her life, the listener can’t help but be captured by her unique and raw vocal sound. Moving between her vocal strength and vulnerability, Gioia takes us on a journey as she broaches issues of teen life, including identity crises or depression, and her own dreamy world. 
‘Falling Star’ is Gioia’s first online release.
