Shelton  / Jacobson  / Vestergaard is a saxophone, bass and drum trio formed in the winter of 2017 after Shelton moved to Copenhagen from Oakland, California. Jacobson and Vestergaard are active players in the Danish scene.  On a whim they played a set together and the connection was made.  Their music is improvised, free and raw, with a focus on energy and change.

Aram Shelton is an American improviser and composer who performs on saxophone, clarinets, and live electronics.  He focuses on creative music grounded in and influenced by the rich history of avant-jazz and free improvisation; his writing and playing has been documented through more than two dozen albums to date. Tomo Jacobson is a Polish-born double bass player based in Copenhagen, Denmark. He graduated with a masters degree from the prestigious Rytmisk Musikkonservatorium in Copenhagen. He has also been studying musicology at the University of Warsaw, Poland.  He focuses his efforts on free improv and other creative musics. Anders Vestergaard is a Danish drummer and composer based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Best known as the drummer of Yes Deer and Laser Nun, with whom he has released several records and toured extensively. Anders also runs the label Abstract Tits together with the Norwegian saxophonist, Danielle Dahl.
