“Diversity is a wonderful title for this album as it depicts the whole project, not only on the language level, but also musically. There is diversity on the rhythms, the instruments and the vocals, where the Scandinavian string section meets the balafon and calebass. The majority of the languages have their roots in the Sub-Saharan area, which leads us to a deeper meaning of diversity (peace and harmony among people despite their differences) as most materials in this album carry strong political statements. From urging politicians to find solutions to conflicts, to the reminders of coexistence among nations. Also the appeals for unity, organisation, demanding justice and our responsibility as nations to fight corruption and make a change.
At the beginning of 2020, the seed of this album was planted and we have been taking good care of it ever since. Now we have the result: new songs that are finally flying freely around the world, spreading love and serving purposes of justice, peace and co-existence. How happy I am to see it growing!”
