"The Return Of The Son Of Nothing" is a song by classic English rock band Pink Floyd. This song will later became the phenomenon song called Echoes. This title was eventually used to introduce the as-yet unreleased work during its first live performances in early 1971.
During this stage of Echoes development, the song's (The Return Of The Son Of Nothing's) first verse had yet to be finalized. It originally referred to the meeting of two celestial bodies. The first verse originally took words from Muhammad Iqbal's poem "Two Planets", and later this was rewritten with the incorporation of original underwater imagery instead.
This version is a live version of "The Return Of The Son Of Nothing", taken from a bootleg called Live In Rome '71.
