The Old Fireplace studio is the laboratory of solo outsider artist Slender Pickens. It started in an actual gutted basement fireplace in Seattle (post chimney removal).  It now resides in Boston in an old house (the room has a vintage fireplace!).  Slender plays all of the instruments (although Brother Zak makes a few appearances on a few tunes).
