Alicia Keys - If I Ain't Got You (Kogo Remix)

Adesha and Vincent Kwok present their latest release, featuring a pair of songs taking inspiration from the glittering dance floors of the disco era to Minneapolis inspired funk. "Hot Mess" kicks off the proceedings and is a full on disco workout combining the vocals of Adesha with a pumping 4-on-the-floor beat that is bound to move you. "Girl Fan" takes a different approach with a rhythm that is reminiscent of the Minneapolis sound of the early 80s.  Featuring a sizzling sax solo, "Girl Fan" describes the various stages of fandom, with some punchy beats accentuating the song.
This is the third release of the duo under The Sleepers RecordZ label, the last two vinyl releases, released in 2020 and 2021 respectively, both were sold out within 5 days.
Also this one will be out on a special magenta colored 7” Vinyl.

Drop Out Orchestra has been one of the key acts in the Nu Disco scene over the last decade plus. They've collaborated with other pillars in modern electronic disco/funk music, such as Jkriv & Opolopo, and return now with two more strong entries for the dance floor, "Skate" & "Good Fun," both in collaboration with vocalist Mishell Ivon, who is quickly becoming a mainstay for the Sleepers label.

The vibe here definitely takes some cues from the sophisticated disco funk of seminal groups like Chic, only the sound has been transformed and streamlined into something that's ready for the dance floors of 2023. Mishell Ivon's commanding vocal presence leaves you with little choice but to enjoy yourself, whether at the club or the roller rink.

As always, Sleepers brings these two tracks to you in physical form, via color vinyl 7", limited to only 150 copies!

Good Fun

Crown Me

With more than a touch of synthwave and production that is reminiscent of artists such as Cherokee and FM-84, Crown Me is a song about not giving up, no matter what life throws up in front of us, and that things always seem to work out in the end.  The production contains more than a few nods to synthwave, with the bassline and drum track anchoring the beat with Adesha's vocals soaring over the music.

Pegasus

Harking back to music of the jazz funk era with inspiration from artists such as Paul Hardcastle and Shakatak, Pegasus is a love song and all the feelings that being in love brings.  Sometimes, it feels like finding love is almost like finding a mythical winged creature, and Pegasus describes the feelings of being lost in the emotions and feelings and the magic that you have when you're in love.
