The name of a new and aspiring addition is being added to the growing and impressive list of stars of Jamaican reggae/dancehall music.

Lybran, whose real name is Lamon Cousins, is gifted with what it takes to be among the accomplished talents of the musical industry.

Lybran got his name from his Zodiac sign but recently made change with one letter to make his identification much easier. His zodiac sign Libra, aligning his title with the galaxy of music stars that represent the evolution of reggae/dancehall music.

His voice is unmistakable, uniquely powerful and a potent and identifiable transport of any tune that it carries.

Lybran’s distinctive talents won him the eyes of World Flavas Entertainment DeanoDEAN Records and Zionnoiz Freeze Records to name a few, edging him closer to the point of the inevitable explosion of what Promises to be an impacting and memorable career.

His single ‘Di Way u Whine’ has already created a buzz among music fans. ‘Sexy Body, feat Chico’ and another recent release on the Evafresh rhythm. The song proclaims Lybran’s incredible promise. Another tune, ‘Now a Days,’ produced by World Flavas Entertainment, exposes his versatility and is again keeping the young artist well in the hunt for eventual stardom.

Lybran’s talent extends beyond the microphone. His skill as a writer has been embraced and quite a few artists have added their voice to his work. An extremely sensitive, emotional and God fearing person. Lybran was born on October 14, 1985 to humble beginnings in St. Thomas, Jamaica. He however grew up in Waterhouse in Kingston and spends a few years in Mandeville Manchester, which helped to mold his direction in the business.

Lybran has done several performances across the island such as Montego Bay jerk fest, East Fest, Carnival vibe and Recently at pulse where he shared stage with Sizzla kalongi. But well before that, he was pleasing his peers in school, winning the Abayomi School Talent Search in 2003. He performed his way to the top ten in the finals of the Digicel Rising Star Competition, sending this time a loud and clear message across Jamaica that a new star was in the making.

Under the name of “Vetran” he was one of the key members of the musical group Jv & Vetran.

Lybran is as creative as he is ambitious; always working, always striving to create new opportunities where his peers, Jamaica and the world can get the chance to join him in his musical journey. It is that type of drive that landed him roles in modeling and acting. He was one of the models that appeared on a television show alongside Winford Williams. He also appeared in the Matrimony Medley Video alongside major Reggae Superstars Sean Paul, Lady Saw and Wayne Marshal just to name a few.

Lybran Recently sign a management deal, did the cross country invasion tour with the RJR music group and now released his new hit single titled #BADITUP ON BADIT UP Riddim that was produced by DMG music group.
Lybran is now gearing up for some local shows and an overseas tour. more info soon...
