These improvisations are influenced by the landscape near the river Eem. This empty landscape has everything to do with swamps reclaimed in the Middle Ages, the expansion of the Zuiderzee and the many floods that occurred here until 1932. At high tide, the water flowed over the dikes and sometimes they broke. The inflowing water then sanded a vortex hole, which is called a "waai". These ‘waaien' are now small lakes behind the dikes. It is an old and empty landscape where the light bounces off their surface and clouds moving over slowly.

The horrific situation in Ukraine is on everyone's mind - Gathered to tell our story here are great friends and musicians who bring their hearts to the unfolding situation. Sennid Simon's super soulful lyrics and groove are so welcoming. Our two exceptional guitarists - Stephan Lipinski and Lou Taverna - alternate a total of 6 not to be missed burning solos across the funk, Georg Boehme's tight baritone sax adds glue with both funky inside and outside playing and Sergio Parraga's exciting congas and lead quinto drive it all forward and add to the tension. Lou's added some additional rhythm and harmony guitar parts for even more color.
Just doing our musical thing for Ukraine and freedom...

I left my guitars on the wall for this one. I was never one for tin toys when I was a kid; now they look cool. 
The one in this picture was modelled by an artist called Nobuo Yamashita. Somehow, it looks lonely, hopeful and ready to play... hence the music. The background is courtesy of NASA.

Birth Of Centaurus

This is a song that was written by the very talented Artur (Surfers Like Us), who is a surf rock master, and delivered to us in the form of a guitar track. Josh (Entheogenic Psychonaught) enjoyed adding the psychedelic, yet foundational four string fretless bass. Ken (K2 and the Three and K2 and the Four) boosted the energy level of the song when he blew our minds with his driving drums. JJ (J.J. Terrell) added the wild, dynamic organ you hear throughout. Tez (Llanpsych) brought lightning down from the sky in the solo over the third section. And last, but certainly not least, Stephen (TexMex Shaman) laid down the mind-bending guitar solos over the first two sections. He also produced and mixed it, with a little help from Ken. We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as our Eclectic Collective enjoyed making it.
