@ntonsat we truly appreciate it. Vocal sound and harmonies are things we try to focus on. This was the rare occurance of a song coming to me out of nowhere.

Jukin' At Sammy's

The title track of this release was inspired by the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission to the moon. We hear of the feats of Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin, but there was a third man on that mission that is often left out of the narrative. Michael Collins was tasked with piloting the command module "Columbia" as it orbited the moon awaiting the return of the "Eagle" from the lunar surface. Newspapers at the time referred to Collins as the "loneliest man in the universe," but interviews with the man himself reveal an experience of solitude that was anything but lonely. He rejected the title and described the immense feeling of gratitude and awe that fell upon him as he circled the moon. We were enamored by the depth of this experience of wonder and made an attempt to capture something of it through a song that is primarily an appeal to the Greek god Apollo for his aid in space travel.
