Gentle breeze

Part of a new album I've been uploading, featuring compositions written over the last several months of 2021. If anyone can pinpoint what all of these compositions have in common, musically-speaking, put it in the comments - there was a concept tying everything together but I'm not going to reveal what it was unless if someone figures it out on their own.

This album is going to be called "Prohibited Topics," a tribute to the textbook authors and teachers whose work is being disrupted by right wing efforts to stifle education about racial disparity and structural racism in the US.

[CONCEPT]
The outbreak of Russia’s war in Ukraine and the murder of the former Japanese PM during an election campaign are still fresh in our minds. Also, nationalists have gained political power in countries over recent decades. Through this song, as a musician, I’d like to address  that we can’t take peace for granted and need to stop apathy from prevailing among us. When we stop craving peace and justice and giving up bringing them to the world, then there should be a nest for egoism and exclusivism which ultimately lead to establishing an undemocratic society. To start, let’s recall the victims of those tragedies at the happiest time of year. And let’s remind ourselves of how valuable peace is and how easily it could be deprived of us.

Blues Shuffle in A One Take Improv Exercise

"Framboise", is a soft Chill Drum & Bass track made with a 3/4 time signature, I love DnB and I tried to fit a DnB-type rhythm into a waltz beat, and this is what I got. Why 3/4? For me, it's the perfect time signature for expressing beauty through emotions in melodies. 🍓

The word "Framboise" is the french for "Raspberry", I've always liked its taste and it's one of my favorite flavors, especially in iced tea and lemonades but can also enjoy sweet cakes :) I've found myself enjoying anything with raspberries during some of the best moments in my life so why not use it as a song name ❤️
