Trying to get a 101010101 generated noise to sound like a saxophone - 🎷
I'm a guitarist primarily, and I love to improvise. Especially with a slow blues track. I'm trying to hit the "right" notes and yes, there are no black/white, right/wrong notes but I think I hit a few in this. Yet I listen to this and it takes me back to the early 2000's as am learning how to use Prop RERASON and this SAX patch had me hitting keys joyously for hours. It's self-indulgent and I'm happy with that. We learn from our mistakes - at least I like to think I have after some years. Peace to all... 3E

Still working on this; in length, mixing, Eq (that bass rumble) strip it back, and I think learning some fundamentals of jazz would be next steps I think. Let it breathe deeper, not faster.

Person Women Man Camera TV  #3 - (Frank N Beans remix)

This track - I have many versions of and at the end of the day - make of it what you will. To me, it never stops evolving (I keep editing it) and that is what I enjoy of it. Also brings some shitty feelings. That’s ok. I Turn the faders, drop the pots, and it’s a totally different trk, for me. Make of it what you will. Initially I named it eye of the beholder and I think that sums it up. 

Sure - I would like to refine it, rinse it, squeeze it, but I found it too hard emotionally for some reason. Today, it is what it is. 

Hard to describe the track - in terms of genre, at least for me. It really depends on present mood. 
And ultimately - perspective. 
That was the idea behind the whole process any way... Hence, the Monet. 
Change the feel completely with just a few clicks -

This was my attempt to recreate a track I did in the late 1980's. Originally made as a backing track for experimentation with everything turned "on": using a reel to reel tape recorder -  I discovered - feedback, chorus, flange, and that dreaded 50Hz hum. 
No guitars harmed in this track.

From my earliest memories to the present day - I have been fascinated with sound. The shimmering dissipating echo of an out of tune chorus FX, to the warm, organic tones of a tube amplifier. The chaotic collision of: an exploding lightbulb, a long forgotten vacuum TV, a ceramic plate (sorry ma). The complexity and rippling interpretation of a simple drop of water into itself - dependant on mood 🙄. Is there a melody, or even so, is it joyous? Is it torture? Sound _ I know I take it for granted. Before I get too mindful.........

I think I have always been fascinated with sound. in particular electronic music and the production of since I was introduced to Jean Michel Jarre in the 1980’s.  I was particularly drawn to the beauty of a simple note, created with passion and the timbres and overtones - it did then, and still does to this day, promote a visceral response to my emotions. A direct link to my "goosebumps" or limbic system.  I'm getting ahead of myself. Whether it be the player of an instrument, or a combination of 00000 & 111111's -  it doesn't matter to me. Correlations, meta-physical, psychosomatic, whatever words I use, I cannot simply convey the viseral response within me. Hence my wordy intro here. 
 
Like all music lovers, I presume, type or genre of music doesn't matter - if it stirs something within, more please! I had a watershed moment when I was given a tape of a guitar player from Texas - Stevie Ray Vaughan. This sent me down the rabbit hole of his influences of which has shaped my "style," if I indeed do have one. That's the guitar bit. The "real" instruments as such, but that's a cop-out. There is music in anything, I believe. I rarely see, feel, or rather, hear it. But I know it is there. That is a comforting thing for me. 

A similar watershed moment happened back in the 1990'a. I used to work in clubs, but not the "cool' ones, or the ones with street-credibility, imoa. Standard top 100 music (commercially, I mean) was what the folks wanted to hear, and obviously there is nothing wrong with that. But it wasn't really my thing. So, one day I walked into a more progressive club and this music hit me as soon as walked through the door - into another world. The lights, lasers, energy of the crowd, was mesmerising. I heard the relentless 4/4 thud of the kick, the monotonous, ever so slightly changing momentum of LFO on repetitive basslines, lightning zips and zaps of evolving FX, creeping pristine clicks and clacks, other-worldly squelches, and barely a vocal. I was hooked! Some weeks later driving home on empty streets after a late-shift, no traffic, I heard music of a similar vein described above. I pulled over to pay particular attention and hope to catch the name of the artist, and hopefully the track (obviously before an incredible invention like shazam. The track was "Synthesizzler" by Hallucinogen.  I caught the intro  - and the way it begins with a strong nod of the hat to Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, and I believe a little of The Wall (quite a few licks in there)  - again, had me hooked. 

SO, that's what led me down this other rabbit hole of music and sound. All of which is my elongated way of saying that what I try to create on this profile. And of my attempt at re-creating some of the music I love to hear, and the forever practice of creating it myself. It's a diverse collection. I know it doesn't reach the heights of my musical inspirations but I have found the more that I create, the more I sound more like me, rather than somebody who's music I admire. And, ya know? For me, the JOY, is cliche I know - the journey - not necessarily the destination... 

*** If you've read this far, I may as well keep going. I was going to edit the heck out of this "Behind the music' section but I enjoy talking about it. I may +/- in the future... 🤷🏻‍♂️

My first "recording" of a "song" using a sampler ( 1 sec  maximum sampling time) was the song “Male Stripper” by Man to Man. It was terrible! Not the song necessarily, but my version of it... :)

My fascination with electronic music continues today, many years later. Kinda funny because primarily - I’m a guitarist. A guitarist that now attempts psytrance with Logic Pro X and so many plugins I’ve lost count. I haven’t fully unlocked the potential of any of them - maybe too many options 🙄. 
I’m grateful for YouTube. It's funny, I never had a problem in the past, using the tech of the day. Am sure there is a few few good analogies in there about the past / present, and so many options. Maybe, I'm just old! "Turn that down, that's not music" - I am guilty of saying occasionally to my daughter. and vice-versa!

More recently me and another mate are working on collaborating some exciting tunes crossing many genres, stay tuned. We both excited! Its kinda like the journey is often my exciting than the destination. 

Well, that's a wordy description on the person behind this music. For now. I hope it stirs something in you. I now the journey was and continues to be a blast for me.
