Several beautiful people, who by accident bumped into my set last year, asked me if I would come back to the burn and play. With pain in my heart I decided to skip this year, but in conversation with someone from the Theme Camp Greasemonkeys / Buttery Beasts I decided to record a special Theme Camp set as a gift to their camps. Now that the burn has ended I share it also only for whomever likes to listen to it. I hope that I see you all next year. <3

Wow, this was such a gift: a big and amazing crowd gathered on Thursday afternoon in front of The Boombox at AfrikaBurn while the sun started setting. Thank you so much to the people that were there and thank you to Press Play Camp for letting me take the stage. I literally cried at one point when I played one of my own tracks, feeling very fortunate to be in this privileged position.

AfrikaBurn is a community of participants who come together to create art, costume, performance, theme camps, music, mutant vehicles and much, much more. All of this is created through a volunteer and gifting culture. The main annual AfrikaBurn event takes place in the Tankwa Karoo, located between the Northern Cape and Western Cape Provinces of South Africa, usually at the end of April every year.

Le Petit Paris @ AfrikaBurn 2023 (South Africa)

The rule we defined for our camp at this year's Afrika Burn. 
Thanks to the lovely people from The Lion's Den camp for providing their stage. Playing up there felt like playing on a sailing boat in the middle of a storm. Maybe it was because of all the crazy dancers who joined me on the top of the vehicle.

On Wednesday night at Afrikaburn, after searching the desert for the legendary Dung Beetle for several hours, all of the pent up energy was released in front of the mushroom forest (and on the mutant vehicle for 2 incredible dancers) to this set. I give you, acid house, with an indie twist.
