Parallel Depth is the lucky host of a collaboration between two already well established beasts: Pseudonym & Alex SLK ‘Skitz’ EP is here!

A month after their anniversary VA release the spanish firm steps firmely with their collection of artist releases with this EP coming straight out from the ‘gutta’.

The release counts with two original tracks and a collaboration between them. Skitz is a electric infused roller, dancefloor shoe breaker and gives name to the work for its anthem-ish sound. Nemesis hits hard with a cold minimal beat. And ‘Gutta’ puts the final note with that guetto-minimal influenced track plagued with Bristol reminiscences.

Leeds-based partystarters sub:stance are back with their latest release, in the form of a simply staggering 4-track effort from Bristolian don GLM. All tracks hit that rupturing, rolling murk that we've become accustomed to from GLM, and that gleaming mayhem is gleefully apparent on 'Always You', a heavyweight collaboration that sees him link up with Manny favourite Kumo. We're introduced with sharp, cascading breakbeats, bleating, robotic atmospherics and a carefully selected, pinpoint vocal sample - that all quickly makes way for a minimally brilliant, stripped back bassline, although each of those preceding elements continue to crop up throughout the tune. Catch this one duppying down a dancefloor near you very soon.

Upgrade’s return to Serial Killaz is like a long lost friend coming back for one last bonkers session. Whatever this guy does simply oozes quality but not the glossy, hand buffed type you may be thinking, no way mate, not in a million years. Upgrade’s production is simply a combination of a raw, no fucks given attitude and years of doing whatever he wants and quite simply - it works. One of the many reasons he’s always welcome at our door.

‘Base’ has already had an exclusive via UKF and caused countless posts of upset regarding the spelling of everyone's favourite frequency. Simply put, if you like a double bass and a ton of heavy breakbeats to knock your block off - this one you. ‘Function’ harks back to Upgrade’s jungle roots with a hard slap of trademark Serial Killaz. A tune no doubt made with the label in mind.

The EP title track ‘First Request’ changes direction, flips the script and does a 360 headspin. Muddy bass, hints of classic beats and some epic percussion makes this a go to intro tune. Listen carefully and you might even get a taste of some Bristol influence here.

Slicing up the end, Upgrade comes with ‘Gangbeasts’ alongside Newcastle donny Scudd. Engage the rebels, stick your head down, embrace the haze and get down to this. Darkside business.

Hotly-tipped Royal Audio head-honcho Raybee returns with his next drop, this time in the form of a delicious minimal outing on Lost Recordings. After dominating on releases for the likes of Four Corners Music, Trigger Audio, Talayotik Sound and his own tasteful aforementioned imprint, Raybee arrives on Lost with a fresh outlook on the minimal sound, driven by an efficient, pinpoint production aesthetic and a keen ear for cuts that hit hard on the dancefloor, but also do the damage on a technical level. This is one for the trifecta of ravers, listeners and audiophiles. Those evocative, melancholic stabs that are weaved in gradually through the introduction take centre stage masterfully on that oh-so-crisp b-line, combining with flittering, meandering percs and hits, laying the perfect foundations for those other sequential elements to drive you into the ground like a tent peg.
