A project I have had planned for some time, but I just now had the gumption to release this. Anybody who knows me knows how much I brainrot the concepts behind Mobile Suit Gundam (1979), and wanted to make a fantasy concept album for what I felt the aura of Freedom Fighter Gunboy would have been like in some variety. This more than likely would have been for a film version versus the entire TV series, had it actually happened. I scoured my own collection for sounds that I felt mirrored the aesthetic I was after but also ones that are era appropriate in sound.

My themes/ideas are a mix of low end sci fi and dark sci fi horror, a very melancholic, futurist slant on 0079 based on Tomino's original ideas, Yas' concept art, and Kunio's mecha. Freedom Fighter Gunboy, from my angle, follows Hongo Azuma/Hongo Higashi, a mercenary pilot who joins the Earth Federation to fight against the Zeon invaders - he is half Spacenoid and half "Earthnoid", and encounters challenges pushing back aspects of his past as he faces off against Zeon's most triumphant ace, Charis Aznable. Romance, Newtypes, and bloodshed mar his life.
