for a while i've been feeling very perfectionistic with music and uncomfortable with posting things that feel incomplete. i've realized now that i felt the most free when composing was just releasing my thoughts into the void without worrying about the response, so here's me trying to do that again. 

i changed my sim card 
when i moved here
inadvertently cut ties
i didnt try to

i dont make friends unless i have to
taking shots to feel the fun
talking in circles with anyone

i don’t feel closer to my roots now
no sense of self, but there’s no where else
that i’d rather be
that id rather be

i want to know
how long does it take
for a place
to feel like home
to feel like home?
