Gresford, Up From Underground is a dramatic retelling of the Gresford Mining Disaster, one of the worst coal mining disasters in UK history that claimed the lives of 266 mine workers. 

The Opera tells the story of the disaster, explores the feelings of despair, loss and injustice, but also how the community of Wrexham has grown to show its resilience, determination and resurgence.
