Chigasaki city (Japan) where I live is a sister city of Honolulu, Hawaii (United States).
Under the influence of that, we often see hula dancers in town and to hear of ukulele sounds.
I composed this number in hope that it would act as a bridge between the sister cities,
Furthermore, I sincerely hope that everyone in the world will understand each other like we all understand music.

After almost a year without any music due to severe tinnitus I finally did go into the studio. Now I take it step by step, so no drums yet. This piece "After the War" is a melancholy slow one written in the wake of that kind of every day drama that happens in a ordinary relation from time to time. Its the silence after a war, after a devastating confrontation where the consequences are yet to be seen. But it doesn't feel good, does it?
Many of the hours went into the lyrics, but doing the vocals also took some time. But then again, its good to be back:)
Any thoughts or comments are appreciated as always!

After the War

This is the last sunday morning recording of the year. I have loved George Harrison since I was about 5 years old, and his music and also the Beatles were played all the time in our house by my older brother. George was a beautiful man in so many ways, and another taken from us too soon. My heart is full when I listen to his songs.
Hoping that this brings you a little warmth, and much love and peace for the new year to come.
