In the depth of music you close your eyes. You close your eyes to open your heart. You open your heart to give in to the strength of floating spaces of music. Welcome to the sound of Just Emma. The duo manages to make you drift from reality to a fictional journey into a different world. For more than four years Alex and Saskia have been part of the electronic music scene, spreading their driving, deep, hence melodic and playful sound focusing on one message their music reveals to every single person: love! While Saskia‘s musical skills developed during early childhood piano lessons, Alex made first contact with electronic music with his “Minimal Lounge“ solo project. Releasing on labels such as Katermukke, Hanse Hertz, Plötzlich Music and Connaisseur Recordings it is their own imprint Underyourskin Records that has been causing a buzz lately and on which Just Emma releases their dark and melodic interpretation of electronic music. Therefore the duo prefers to play the early morning hours to attract the crowd with an ocean of diverse sounds.

They are definitely an inspirational duo and so to have them put together this exclusive set just for us summarizes the love of music we all have :) They are fabulous as humans and it transmits through their music, which is something we have always valued through sunset grooves. Please listen to this mix as if you're at Katerblau on a Monday Morning. You will see why they had so much fun doing it. 

We started back in early 2013 and since have had over 190 different artists from over 45 different countries providing us music from deep house, hip hop, disco, funk, downtempo, electronica, deep tech, afro house, house and all with an absolute wonderful unique touch of individual groove.

The Oddness is the project of Melbourne producer and performer Warwick Ferguson. The sound of the Oddness is Downtempo yet energetic, with punchy tribal drums and huge bass lines wrapped around the long slow burning structures of progressive house.

The Oddness Launched his live set in 2018 and has since performed at some of Australia’s premium festivals including Rainbow Serpent, Let Them Eat Cake and ChiWowWah Town. The set is full of improvisation and can go anywhere from laidback and melancholy through to a chunky, driving gut punch. Recently he has been joined by Multi Instrumentalists Dylan Jarred and Timmus, performing as a 3-piece band.

His first release came in early 2018 on Uone’s label Beat & Path with a huge remix from Electronic music legend Adam Freeland, quickly followed his debut album ‘Culmination’ on Griff’s new imprint Corymbia Recordings. 2019/20 saw a string of releases and remixes for labels Pipe & Pochet, SolSelectas, Shango Records, LNDKHN and Sofa Beats, as well as remixing Satin Jackets huge hit Automatic for Eskimo Recordings.

A European tour was booked for 2020 including Boom, Noisily and Vibronica festivals, but was cancelled due to the Covid-19 situation. This led to some serious studio time culminating in his second album ‘Observations as a Stranger’ out now on Beat & Path.

Andre has been evolving as an artist and DJ since early 2016. His music reflects diverse ethnic themes from cultures all over the world that combine hypnotic grooves of African tribes, upbeat Balkan fusions, rhythmic ensembles of the Middle East, meditative chants of Asian temples, Indian shamanism and mystic Slavic folklore.
Often defined as avante-garde downtempo Andre's music takes the audience on a spiritual journey into the world guiding their imagination through mysterious times and places, triggers their deep emotions and thoughts, gives inspiration to their minds. Each performance creates a truly meditative experience and shares an aesthetic interpretation of diverse cultural repercussions with their sacred messages seen from a contemporary perspective.
Andre is a co-founder and resident at AnimaTerra Festival, a Dubai based initiative and platform for self-expression which is aimed to promote multicultural electronic music, flow and visual arts through engaging creative communities and musical talents all around the world. After having hosted a series of successful events in Dubai and Moscow they aim to collaborate with labels, producers and flow communities around the world to organise AnimaTerra Showcase events on further continents.

The cover art is provided by Radka Tiarksova and her visionairy art project Radka Soulart. We believe that a combination of different styles of art will allow our senses to expand, feel & see the whole picture within. The name of this beautiful piece is 'Homecoming'.

Living a spiritual life is a journey to the essence, the essence in which we come in touch with pain as well as with love, the pain of our world as well as the hope for our world, the pain of our own lives as well as the light that breaks into our dark spots. It is a journey in which we resist the many distractions that pull us away from the center with an endless number of things that literally occupy us. Perhaps, you have realised that not all is as it seems, that there are gaps in the narrative that you had been given your whole life by your family, school or the news. But deep within you lies this one essence, the authentic, pure and eternal you, which seeks to get rid of all determining layers, in order to be newly born into this world through your personal spiritual quest and self-perception.  Everyones inner journey of self-discovery is unique, yet all paths more or less lead to the same destination and although entirely individual, there are similarities in our journeys towards this calling, this longing to 'come home’.

„For some time now, a feeling has been driving me, it is difficult to put into words, it is not rational, I cannot process it, it is just there. If I had to put it into words, maybe it would be a hint of departure. But for what and for whom? Although, it seems as if many things are coming to an end, I don't believe in that and I don't feel that either. Actually, as macabre as it may sound, I feel better than ever, but I can't say why and otherwise I always can.
I'm aware of how many people are living in fear, sorrow and sadness right now, so I keep asking myself, am I even allowed to feel this way? And I whisper it very softly, because I have also received it only as a whisper, 'yes you may'. Who is whispering there? Is it you world? Something is happening to us, to people, to the world, I don't know what, but I feel it's going to be good. And this feeling is still so drowsy, but I know it from somewhere for a very long time. It's like a loving mother kissing her child awake. It comes from my subconscious and it pushes gently and inexorably into my waking presence.
Out of this feeling, unconsciously at first, this set was born. It drives, because it stands for departure and in the end everything will be good.“
