I first heard about this game on the SRB2 Discord server, so I decided to check it out. I ended up liking it and its music so much that I made MIDI covers of a couple tracks. This is one I just finished today!

With this cover, I focused more on making it sound like it belongs in a Doom mod (that isn't Snap, though it could technically be considered its own game anyway) rather than trying to get the instruments as accurate to the original song's as possible.

Snap The Sentinel - Guard Duty (General MIDI Cover)

Recently, I started making MIDI covers of Sonic 3's music partially to answer the question: "What if the songs in Sonic & Knuckles Collection sounded closer to their Genesis/Mega Drive counterparts?"

I say partially because I'm also using this for a project I'm working on. I am not revealing what exactly it is yet, but I might give a hint later down the line.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 - Hydrocity Zone, Act 2 (General MIDI Cover)

This is a composition I made for POWER! SuperDIGI. It was mainly inspired by the sound of the MIDI synths used in Sonic Robo Blast 2's pre-2.2 soundtrack (Yamaha SW60XG and KORG X5DR). It was also one of nine ideas I came up with during the collaboration.

Jungle Stroll - for POWER! SuperDIGI

A few months ago, I found an old hard drive full of stuff I thought I had lost forever. This included a bunch of old MIDIs and FamiTracker compositions/covers, among other things. One of the FamiTracker covers was based off of SRB2's Red Volcano Zone, which I never finished. I got bored and decided to finally finish it after not having used FamiTracker for a while.

To put into perspective how old this cover is, I originally started working on it in 2016. Back then, the original FamiTracker was still in active development and in beta. In fact, this cover was made in the last public beta ever released for the original FamiTracker, v0.5 BETA 5. I could've easily finished it using something like Dn-FamiTracker, but I thought it'd be more fun to use an era-accurate version instead.

- Audacity (normalizing FamiTracker's WAV output)

The thumbnail was created by taking an in-game screenshot of Red Volcano Zone Act 1 from SRB2 version 2.1.25.

This was a TV Show theme I made about on people working at an amusement park. This was another music class project.

EDIT (8/13/2019): I know I'm extremely late in saying this, but I just want to state, for the record, that I did not do the vocal tracks. They were generously given to my class by two people (both of whom will remain anonymous): One person did the singing, while the other person did the rapping.

See You Again Recreation

I created this for a project in my music class. The project was to make a PowerPoint presentation on something music-related that interested you, so I did mine on the sound chip of the NES. This cover wasn't necessary for the project, but I thought I would do it just for fun.

I have no intention of copyright infringement with this cover. No audio samples were taken from the original recording.

After two years of inactivity, I'm back!

Since v2.2 of SRB2 finally came out (roughly 7 months ago) after five years in development, I thought I'd do something to celebrate!

Well, actually, this was originally meant for a mod I was going to make that served as a re-imagining of SRB2's scrapped levels, but the idea was too ambitious for me to continue working on it. Maybe some day...

This arrangement combines elements of both 2.2's and pre-2.2's versions of THZ1, as well as taking inspiration from an alternate version of THZ1 posted by SSNTails a while back which I, unfortunately, can't seem to find online anymore.

SRB2 - Techno Hill Zone, Act 1 (Arranged)

Like the arrangement of Act 1, this was made as a celebration of SRB2 v2.2's release, as well as originating from a mod idea for SRB2 that became too ambitious for me to conceivably work on.

Also, like the arrangement of Act 1, this combines elements of SRB2 2.2's and pre-2.2's versions of THZ2.

SRB2 - Techno Hill Zone, Act 2 (Arranged)

This is a cover of the High Score song from 3D Maze Man (AKA 3D Munch Man, 3D Frog Man, etc.), an obscure Pac-Man knock-off from 1998 for PCs. I didn't even learn about this game until just last year; that's how obscure it is.

I've done MIDI covers of the entire game's soundtrack at this point, but for now, this is the only one I'm uploading to SoundCloud. In the meantime, you can find the rest at VGMusic.com under the "New Files" section.

Some people might recognize this song from the "shareware" screen in the demo of Super 3-D Crunk Bros. from years ago. That's where I first heard it, anyway.

This cover was made for the Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth, a MIDI synth that has gotten a lot of flak over the years for being extremely "lacking" in quality and features. I've been making song covers with this default Windows MIDI synth for years mostly as a hobby, but also as a challenge, just to see how far I can push its limitations.

3D Maze Man - High Score (MIDI Cover)

For some reason or another, I got this song (its instrumental version, at least) stuck in my head while re-watching the infamous syndicated episodes of "The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3", and I decided to make a recreation of it.

I'll be honest: I've only ever watched, like, one or two episodes of "Captain N: The Game Master", so I had no clue there were even lyrics made for this piece of, what I thought was, background music.
