Yes, today was a very exciting day
I have an 11.25 AM appointment for my second dose of the Astra Zeneca vaccine jab. Hip Hip Hooray.
Woke up early, got there early, no queue so went in early and there she was, beautiful, waving me in, but then another nurse, to my left said "in you come" so in i went and seconds later i was walking out, looking at the floor at the signs telling me where to go. 
Back in the van, i thought i  would make a day of it, go to Tesco's and take the rest of the day off. So i did.

This track was inspired by a new computer (16GB RAM) and a guitar chord, all strings fretted on the second fret, then I wrote down the 6 notes in the chord and played them as a scale, Alphabetically or lowest to highest. A B C# E F#. Only 5 notes as the F# was played twice in the guitar chord. Then I played the scale on the piano, drank some beer and took it from there.

Broken since 2019, Bridge pick up fried during an electrical storm or maybe  just bad luck,
Tried to get it fixed locally in 2021 but ended up with a very polished but still broken guitar. he wanted to replace the broken pickup with one from an Epiphone guitar. Fat cat.
Late February 2022 i took my beloved broken FEN to Rob Williams near Newtown and he rewound the broken humbucker. I think he might have re-wound the pickup a bit on the hot side. anyway., i really like it

I like it when I come up with a tune and record it from start to finish in one session. This tune happened tonight September 2nd into the 3rd 2022.

The title "By all the stars" comes from "The Trigan Empire" comic books which i first encountered as a 5 or 6 year old in the mid sixties in a magazine called "Look and Learn".
Last Saturday I won £75 on a split decision win for Ukrainian World heavyweight boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk over Anthony Joshua so I bought some beer and after i had drunk the beer i bought all three volumes of "The Trigan Empire" 
I'm half way through Volume 2 and I am loving the nostalgia.
War, Mystery, Betrayal, Conquest, Good versus Evil, etc. etc.

is written below - 

 record piano (midi track)
then record that track to an audio track
then reverse that track and add a long reverb effect
then record that track to another audio track
then turn that recording from a backwards track to a forward's track
Job done; the backwards reverb is heard before the piano note.

Before I write a catchy Christmas Rock/Pop song, I decided to record some piano improvisations and I ended up using a book to play the piano. 
No midi editing at all, these are live recordings using an opened book to play the keyboard.  
The titles of the 3 improvisations (Theorem, Texture, Thaumaturgy) are words on pages 602 and 603 of the book used to play the piano.

Warszawa (2017)

I have had a cold for a couple of days, it started with a sore throat and then a blocked nose and when you wake up the next day your voice is a couple of notes lower than it used to be, and it sounds good. Suddenly I can sing along to Chris Rea songs and that Crash Test Dummies song (Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm) I feel crap but my voice is gloriously low and rough.
I also need to pee more frequently and when I do so I find myself in the bathroom singing that deep voiced Lee Marvin song "I was born under a wandering star" 
So now after decades of this rare phenomenon of my voice going deep every 2 or 3 years,  I have at last recorded my gloriously deep voice for all to hear.
I like this deep; voice when it visits me, and I will miss it when it has gone,

I messed my Fender up by putting 9 - 46 strings on her instead of the usual 9 - 42 and as she is a sensual sexy Strat with a floating tremolo this made her untuneable and unplayable. It was quite odd to pick Fen up and for her to sound so awful

Any way, I gently ripped off the evil 9 - 46 strings off her and carefully dressed her in some luscious Fender 3250L 9 -42's.
She responded well, and me with her. Now we are a little bit Dazzled but we can dream together once again.

This track is based on those old TV themes, The man from uncle, Joe 90, Man in a suitcase, Batman, etc. This was written on a keyboard and then played on Fen (the broken Stratocaster). Additional inspiration by Guinness in a bottle and a theoretically low cholesterol diet.
Guitars with a floating whammy bar are a mystery to me, so i have abandoned the floating whammy bar for now and tightened the springs so the bridge is tight to the body. I can tune the guitar OK ,the action is lower,  i can still dive bomb and can still do a small Hank Marvin wobble. Mystery solved.

I'm a second born son of a gun.

I thought i would try painting
so i spent £30 on paint, paper and accessories
a discount voucher was involved but i still spent £30
back home i tried painting something
my bin was full quite quickly
but i tried again
and then i tried some more
with odd brushes and several water colours
thick paper, thick head,
remembering when i last painted, at school
i remembered painting trees back then
so i painted some trees
and i added some donkey heads
and imaginary dormice
job done, my first painting.
