Exotica

​An original piece written for the Weekly Note Composing Jam #27 with the theme ‘Dark Forest’. For this, I pictured the dark forest being the backdrop for a spooky level in a 16 bit indie game where the level oozes cheesey eeriness. To fit this vibe, I kept the amount of instruments fairly minimal and used some retro sounding synths that reminded my of the themes from Halloween and Stranger Things.

A therapeutic journey into a mix of jazz, classical, and a blend of types of electronica.  And a wry, gradual observation that promotion tends to only go as far as you push it.  At least I make my fellow musicians laugh a little.
