"Rise and Shine," was a project commissioned by Steenrod Elementary School in Wheeling, WV.  They wanted a song to go with their school's theme this year, "Rise and Shine."  I had the chorus and music, but needed to find a good direction for the verses.  So, I brought the song to my good friends, Amanda Wilkins and Sam Stilwell, and in about 8 hours (over 2 days), we created and recorded the finished product that you hear now!

back to the trip-hop wagon. Was chopping the beautiful piece called  "Barcarolle" by Tchaikovsky. .. then reduced it to a simple trip-hop beat with one of the original parts sort of intact.. Anyway, spoken/sung poetry with some singing in the chorus..  It's definitely got that feeling of inevitability.
