Abstract: 
Dankmarshausen, Thüringen- ehemalige Sperrzone der DDR. Im Gespräch verhandelt Thrän die Fluchtgedanken ihrer Eltern aus dem Jahre 1985/86 nach Westdeutschland. In dem Stück  "Geh'n wir mal rüber” geht es um eine vielschichtige eigene Identität und Herkunft und die deutsche Vergangenheit aufgearbeitet in einer experimentellen dokumentarischen Arbeit.

Peace Piece
It might seem silly, but with the theme of Bill Evans' “Peace Piece,” I felt the urge to contribute my little imperfect live improvisation to this upsetting moment in time, to be with those who suffer and go unheard.

I felt compelled to delve into a performance exploring my personal embodied memories and fragments, resonating and giving something in a moment where it’s highly needed to find a voice for those who can’t speak up.

A dialogue between the piano, my body as an archive, and the instrument within the resonances of this world.
It’s a “Gedankenspiel” swirling through the air. I relish the challenge of engaging with my inner conflicting voice which loses sometimes track and than finds itself again. 

When the world weighs heavily, and I feel helpless, the only way to continue is not to stop, continue listening and speaking up for those who don’t have a voice and aren't heard to find a way out. 

Here, I can meet myself in conversation with my emotions, exploring how we archive our unconscious experiences and access them through the embodiment of a performative act in music through the present and memories.

In the exhibition MAYBETOOLATE, a sculptural object is integrated into an acoustically vibrating room.
Piano strings installed in a room, triggered with a plectrum and hubmagnets. Wooden amplifier giving the resonance.

MAYBETOOLATE

Three piano strings - of varying lengths and strengths - Swinging vertically at three different points in the room. Each connecting a column with the ceiling. A disharmonic triad of sounds comes from the loudspeakers - a pulsating, alive, floating sound.
The piano strings are each strung in an Architectural construction of steel and Concrete and are agitated via an electromagnetic feedback system and fed back via a pickup. This causes the strings to swing and different sounds can be digitized. Like a monochord, the installation makes acoustic phenomena perceptible - like the correlation between pitch and string length, the formation of overtones, as well as the resonance and swinging - and invites visitors to partake in an audiovisual site visit.

Immateriality of the Oscillation 2.0

Die erste Frage, 1 Kanal der Soundinstallation, aus aus den Gesprächen innerhalb des Lockdown in Prag im Oktober/November in Prag.  Seit Anfang Oktober arbeite ich von Prag, gefördert durch eine Residenz des Petrohradska-Kollektivs und eines Sonderstipendium des ansässigen Goethe Instituts an meinem Projekt ON(e)Distance.

Was assozierst du mit Distanz? Hat das Verständnis des Begriffes verändert? 
Die anonymen GesprächspartnerInnen denken übder den Begriff DIstanz, in Deutsch/Englisch/Techisch nach. Sie treten in dem Schnitt in einem unbewussten Dialog zueinander. 

"ON(e) Distance ist meine Forschung zum Begriff Distanz. Ein Versuch einer äußeren Beobachtung, zur Konstruierung eines räumlichen Verhältnisses, von mir als Individuum zur Gesellschaft während Covid-19. 

Unser Leben beruht auf Gegenseitigkeit, wir alle beeinflussen uns mit unserem Handeln. Covid-19 macht dies sichtbar. Das Verständnis für eine gegenseitige Verantwortung scheint gering, Solidarität und kollektives Denken sind für viele befremdlich. Im Frühjahr verspürte ich eine Dringlichkeit, in einen offenen Dialog mit meiner Umgebung zu gehen. Wie hat sich sich der Begriff  Distanz verändert, was bedeutet er im Moment? Welche Emotionen löst es aus? Wie konstellieren sich Selbstbestimmung und Solidarität zueinander?  Basierend auf diesen Leitfragen, sprach ich mit zahlreichen Menschen übers Telefon, oder auf Distanz, und zeichnete diese Gespräche auf. Visuell ging ich auf meine eigene leise Observierung mit einem alten Camcorder. Dabei entsteht weder eine analytische, historische, soziologische oder politische Rekonstruktion der Ereignisse vergangener Monate, sondern vielmehr eine Zeitdiagnose, mit meinem diskursiven Blick auf das Jetzt. "
