Armando GHIDONI brings together in his music the spirits of both Italy and France. In the songs of this eclectic composer one finds sensitivity and elements of the bel canto tradition; his harmonic writing evokes both French-style impressionism and jazz rhythms. His works have a unique and highly personal character. His instrumental works are often used as set pieces in major French and international competitions.
Armando Ghidoni’s catalogue includes about a hundred works (chamber compositions, sacred music, incidental music, a symphony and an opera), which are performed at prestigious venues throughout the world, including New York’s Carnegie Hall and the Paris Opéra-Bastille.
