2015 will see German techno mainstay Stephan Bodzin ready to unleash his next full-length musical vision on the world. Entitled “Powers of Ten”, the 10-track album will land in June 2015 on his own Herzblut Recordings and provides another great insight into the melodically rich muscle mind of this modern great.
Says Stephan Bodzin of the LP: “Powers of Ten has been with me all my life and is named after a book that has been my background hiss, its confusing truth is my only real faith and its infinity shows me its finiteness. The album is about harmonies, melodies, rhythms. It is an homage to Bob Moog, full of techno beats and sounds and space and party and ecstasy and dancing and listening, and crying and feeling. It is a journey, a philosophy of life, a view of the world, a vague perception. It is my wife, my children, my family, my friends, my passion, my enemy, my greatest fulfillment, my fear, my deepest peace, my power, all my love.”
As such, this album is hugely personal and is filled with cerebral messages and well thought out concepts. All this shines through and makes it an all the more engaging listen from start to finish. Kicking off with the spine tingling chords and louche beats of ‘Singularity’ cuts like ‘Lila’ then continue to confirm that Stephan Bodzin has a classical understanding of melody that is way beyond your average.
‘Blue Giant’, ‘Wir’ and ‘Ix’ all manage to be uplifting and thoughtful at the same time as driven and groovy, whilst ‘Birth’ comes on with a hymnal high note, long tailed pads and subtly shifting beats. The ghostly grooves of ‘Zulu’ mark a majestic mid point to the album, which then continues to seduce with spiritual synths and more beautiful melodies on cuts like ‘Odyssee’ as well as the album’s standout title track.
Unfolding coherently and in soothing fashion, this album once again proves that few producers in the modern world have a knack for melody and an ear for sonic ingenuity quite like Stephan Bodzin.

We feel PHCK's music has been heading towards us at All Day I Dream for a while. Lee Burridge was all about Aeris (on Connoisseur) and reached out to them to express his love of it. PH and CK (yes, it really is their initials) returned the love of our label and sent some amazing music shortly thereafter. 

Not aimed at every DJ's dance floor these three tracks mark the beginning of a journey on our imprint for artists we believe in. We hope to release their debut album in 2018. In the meanwhile though as Autumn arrives we thought we'd ease you gently towards the shorter nights with three deeper shades of emotive house music. Put your headphones on and drift away,make a beautiful mix for your partner or your audience or, for those inline with our sound, play them out loud at your events. We hope you love them as much as we do.

Footnote. For less experienced DJ's who like to bang it out. These tracks are amazing to warm up the club with. Jus' saying ;)

Submarine Vibes proudly presents a brand new remix release, this time, it's Mayan EP by the German trio, PHCK (All Day I Dream, Connaisseur Recordings). After releasing their EP on Submarine Vibes they noted a significant success and progress in their music career.

Between the time of releasing the Mayan EP and the release of its remixed edition, PHCK had signed for All Day I Dream, a well-known label that gave their tracks the much-deserved exposition by bringing them to the ears of music lovers around the globe.

For this remix edition, we invited different artists with uniquely different styles to make their own interpretations of the tracks from the Mayan EP. We have the honor of hosting: Chris Ojeda (SOSO / Magian on Duty), Martin Kremser (Diynamic Music / Einmusika), George X (Get Weird / Nurvous Records) and Ramiro Rossotti (Magician on Duty / Lump Records).

All of the remixes kept the spirit of the original tracks, all the while introducing new elements in the form of melodies, synths, arps, and rhythms. 

For those who have still not listened to the original Mayan EP (released on Submarine Vibes in April of 2017), we strongly recommend you to check it out. As for the remixes, you will be hearing them in the clubs near you in no time!

PREMIERE: Aleksandir - Yamaha [Tessellate]

Charlotte de Witte continues to establish herself as a driving force on the contemporary techno scene with The Healer, her second EP on seminal British imprint Novamute. 

The four tracker comes after the Belgian has fully broken through with a dark, dense and driving sound that is proudly unrelenting. Her meteoric rise has come off the back of a series of huge productions, plus standout sets at key festivals and clubs all around the world. 

Charlotte’s fresh and innovative sound is immediately laid bare on opener ‘The Healer’, with eight minutes of spine-tingling, hypnotic techno. The sleek drums and icy hi-hats soon cast their spell, as well-crafted synths unfold up top to bring real emotion. ‘Silence’ is another slice of tunnel vision techno with perfectly designed drums rolling on and synths peeling off the groove. It’s trance inducing and otherworldly, with eerie voices adding to the all-consuming atmosphere. 

Then comes ‘Kuda’, a track built on monstrous kicks that hit hard and drive forward with real force. Filtered vocals bring character, and sharp edged percussion grows ever louder to take the track, and the club, to the next level. Last of all, ‘Song Of The Wood Nymphs’ shows another side to the producer with three minutes of suspensory synths and expansive ambient sounds that are filled with drama and tension.
