I have always had a thing for cover songs.  To me, there is a unique feeling when you do a song that another person recognizes.  There is something satisfying when the listener suddenly connects to your song because of whatever memories or associations it triggers.  

All of a sudden that person is transported back to the days of yesteryear, or to that one happy or sad event in their life.   How poignant familiarity can be!  

Having experienced this myself when I hear musicians render cover songs, my goal is to impart that same emotional experience to others through my music.
