To close the year 2021, Oddity presents the long awaited various artists, Odd Echoes vol. 5, loaded with hypnotic melodic cuts from new and returning artists.

The V.A, showcases the label's cohesive, yet diverse and evolving melodic sound, with a number of artists brought together to create this magical journey.

Opening the V.A label boss Fur Coat delivers a new collaboration with Alfa Romero, introducing us to the construction of the deepest, most ethereal and melodic sounds, where artists like Adamant, Baime, aacht, Esoteric Circle and Andrea Martini show a coherent crescendo in the timeline of the compilation.

Continuing the story, we can see new names joining the record label like Casper Cole, Rinzen, Jos & Eli, delivering some diverse melancholic yet euphoric cuts.

Digging further into the compilation, sounds like those of the collaboration of Jonas Saalbach and Tantum, or the originals by Remcord, Lexer, SOEL, 19:26, Beswerda, Sascha Breamer bring a touch of darkness that transport us to another dimension in sound.

Last but not least, Aalson, The Element MT, Daijan ft. Running Pine, Black Peters and Jody Barr, present some closing-oriented emotional cuts, with some of them including some breaks or experimenting with some unique synths and textures, to ensure the perfect closure to this story we call Odd Echoes.

After their first collaboration for Odd Echoes Vol. 5, Fur Coat and Alfa Romero join forces once again to present their EP Antigone's Dream.

The opening track “Antigone s Dream”, is a melodic dance floor weapon. The mix of skills of these producers, create some unique synths, melodies and rhythms, with hypnotic touches, producing the perfect track for the peak of any dj set.

The second track of the pack, "Icarus Wings", brings a more celestial and trippy atmosphere. Showing little by little some synthesizers that complement each other, leading to the drop of the track, where that heavy drone bass appears, along with the melancholic chords, to return to the hook of the track with some epic chord stabs that will stay in your mind.

Going into a darker vibe, Fur Coat and Alfa Romero, present us with "Multiple Escapes", which also showcases each artist's signature mix of hallmarks, from the catchy arpeggio, to the groovy bass and percussion, the synth hook stabs and heavenly chords, delivering another gem to the EP.

The final track "Distant Future" is also a melodic and deep one, but it surprises us when the bass line enters, which turns it into a track with a quite funky and unique touch. The drop of this one has a very intense and emotional atmosphere that builds with the chords, and goes back to the funky groovy vibe.

Echonomist’s synthesizer-driven productions have often circled the fringes of electronic pop. The Greek producer born Petros Manganaris pushes this further on his latest full-length offering Secret Places. The Italian artist previously featured on the label via a tight remix of JAMIIE'S ‘Voices' last year and has been on the crew's radar ever since. 
 
His maiden three-tracker is a glistening trip through cosmic progressive, soaring vocal-driven compositions, fleet-footed dusty rhythms and rolling grooves made for both peak and closing moments. 
 
The title track is a transcendental gem, building with dramatic intensity as it uncoils over a sublime six minutes, led by a vocal crafted for big moments. 'Automatik' is crushing electro made for outdoor party scenarios, which isn't afraid to get a little weird. A handy tool for adding spice to any set. 'The Wall Era' feat. Boom Buzz is another beast, built upon the bricks of a multitude of chopped up samples and a wicked acid line in the track’s final stanza, which feels both tribal and psychedelic, without ever being either.
