Zaeskee Alazae Bio
Emerging from the vibrant streets of Chicago’s West Side, Zaeskee Alazae is a musical force blending Alternative R&B, Hip-Hop, and Afro Pop into a genre he affectionately calls "Comic Soul." His sound is vivid, genre-bending, and deeply human — painting raw portraits of love, loss, and the pursuit of dreams.
Zaeskee's musical journey started early, growing up in a ministry-driven household where his father and siblings were members of the gospel group The Whiteheads. By age eight, he was playing piano by ear, influenced by the soulful sounds of The Mighty Clouds of Joy, BeBe and CeCe Winans, The Staple Singers, Jackie Wilson, Sam Cooke, and James Brown. His older brother played a pivotal role in broadening his musical perspective, inspiring Zaeskee to fuse gospel roots with the secular sounds he would later master.
After the passing of his father, Zaeskee found mentorship with Shorty Capone, which opened doors to pivotal collaborations with Crucial Conflict, Do or Die, and Raw Dope Records. His talent also led him to opportunities with industry giants like Mike Dean and Rap-A-Lot Records. Notably, he introduced Lupe Fiasco to Shorty Capone, paving the way for Lupe’s breakout under 1st and 15th, executive produced by Jay-Z.
Zaeskee’s journey expanded beyond music into television, crafting soundtracks for OWN Network shows like Dr. Phil, Dr. Oz, and How Bruce Lee Changed the World. Collaborations with Mark Taylor (Groove Quest) further showcased his versatility, as he produced and wrote for gospel projects such as Gospel Glory (Come As You Are) and worked with Island Record Studio Chicago.
In 2019, Zaeskee Alazae took full control of his creative vision by launching his own production company and record label, Beat Accountants, providing a platform to nurture fresh talent and innovative sounds from Chicago to the world.
In 2022, Zaeskee released his debut album Belly Gang (March 4, 2022), featuring powerhouse collaborations with Belo of Do or Die and Gotti of Boo & Gotti (Cash Money Records). The project introduced his signature sound to a wider audience and established him as a major new voice in the industry.
Throughout the years, he’s produced, written, and performed on a wide range of acclaimed projects, including Niecy Jay’s “Same Room” (2018), Notorious 19 EP (2019), N.A.N. Tavo’s Complete Album (2020), R.I.G’s "Spend It All", and Scarface’s "Overnight". He also contributed vocals to Crucial Conflict’s "Come On" and produced for Sushi Samba's Sugarcane Album.
Now, Zaeskee Alazae is preparing to unleash his next chapter with Belly Gang 2, slated for 2025. Early singles like "DOF" featuring Sisi Dior, "She A Beast" featuring Ayoo KD, and "U Wanna Argue" featuring Never of Crucial Conflict have already generated massive buzz — showing once again that Zaeskee’s sound transcends categories and cultures.
