Since I released the original Mjölnir Mix, it has become my second most popular video on my channel. Looking back, I thought there were some things I could improve upon, so I went back, re-recorded, and remixed. I consider this a significant improvement over my original work, and I hope you enjoy it!

Hey everyone! I'm back with a remaster of one of my oldest uploads: my first Snezhnaya battle theme! I figured that since now we're in Nod-Krai, it'd be the perfect time to tackle this.

The original had a very militant and cold style, so I wanted to keep that essence in this remaster while also making it more similar to the actual style Genshin uses in its regular battle themes, even down to the proper length. I mainly referenced Anthem of the Savannah (Natlan's main battle theme) and To Light the Aeon Dark (Nod-Krai's main battle theme) for style on this remaster, since they are the most recent regular battle themes (and my favorite ones in the game so far).

I also included some more Russian and Scandanavian-inspired instrumentation in here, but I wanted to try to stray away from making this sound the same as Nod-Krai's battle theme. To do that, I kept with a darker and more climactic tone here, both to differ it and since this is the final of the seven nations (not the final region though). Since Nod-Krai's theme has more of an ethereal vibe to it, I went darker here. The choir chants here are supposed to resemble that sort of Russian military chanting, similar to what you'd hear in Letter From Ajax (Tartaglia's character demo theme), which I feel will be present in the actual Snezhnaya battle theme.

I doubt that the official theme will sound anything close to what I've presented here, but consider this my take on what I would do if I composed the theme. As per usual with these Genshin fan-themes (and my fan-themes in general), I tried to get it as close to the original style as possible, which is admittedly difficult for Genshin since I don't have access to a full orchestra but what can you really do. But I think that this gets as close to it as I can get.
