I'm basically attempting to Maniafy the Sonic 3 and Knuckles OST. Most of the tracks on this page are SIGNIFICANTLY outdated. The Sonic 3 AIR mod has all the newer versions of these tracks, which I'll share here when they're done. You can download the mod here: https://gamebanana.com/sounds/59141

My philosophy for this project is to keep in the genesis sounds that are important parts of a track's identity, but to modernize everything however I can. Using brass, real instruments, crisper synths, adding effects to the Genesis samples the make them sound nicer, and using higher quality samples, both the original, in some cases higher quality versions of those used in the game and other drum samples, similar to those from the game, but not directly from it. 

The whole goal is to give this soundtrack a more modern, Mania-like feeling, and to pay tribute to my favorite retro game. Sonic 3 and Knuckles was a big, ambitious game for the era, and the soundtrack is one of my favorites.

Yes, I will be including ALL music in Sonic 3 AIR, including the Sonic 3 or S&K specific versions, and the prototype/PC tracks.
