Young Irish-producer Rebūke continues his rapid ascent to the top with two original productions on Hot Creations, primed and ready for the dancefloor.

Rebūke recalls being worried that Along Came Polly may have been perceived as being “a bit too weird”, but once it caught the attention of Jamie Jones, there was no stopping it. He says that the hype surrounding this EP “is something I’ve never experienced before...and it always get a great reaction”.

On Along Came Polly, Rebūke showcases his innate ability to craft a weirdly, wonderful slice of techno. On the B-side, Rolo is a much housier affair, weaving together a bouncier bassline and sultry vocal stab.

The alias of Reuben Keeney, Rebūke, has only been in business for a short while, but his efforts have already proved to be fruitful. He has garnered support from the likes of Nic Fanciulli and released on labels including Saved and DFTD, as well as having a successful club night under his belt, where highly regarded names such as Camelphat, Darius Syrossian, Ejeca and Huxley have all played.

Following their recent success on Gorgon City’s REALM Records, PAX are back on ABODE with their long overdue third EP; ‘Pass The Bottle’. Since exploding onto the scene, House and Techno duo PAX have made a name for themselves with releases on well-established labels Toolroom, Sola, elrow and Kaluki which received support from AAA DJ’s; Jamie Jones, Hot Since 82, Marco Carola and Solardo. Following on from the ‘Just Touch’ EP which was a firm favourite with Radio 1’s Danny Howard, MistaJam and Annie Mac, ‘Pass The Bottle’ delivers mesmerising vocals throughout, dubbed out transitions which are underpinned by sharp percussion and a pulsating low-end. ‘Make Me Feel’ follows suit with crisp percussion, crunchy snares, a hypnotic bassline and mesmerizing looped vox closing out the EP in true style.

Hot Creations label boss Jamie Jones joins forces with Cuttin’ Headz curators The Martinez Brothers for the first time to present the anthemic Bappi, an unmistakable powerhouse of a track that has been setting dancefloors alight all summer at their respective DC10 Ibiza residencies.

The A side features title track Bappi, a trademark bassline opens the record, developing with playful strings and sirens before distinctive Indian vocals are teased in, shifting the energy as it unfurls into a big-room Hot Creations hit. On the B side, Bappi (Warehouse Mix) magnifies the groove, as head nodding kicks combine with darker synths, creating an acid-tinged, smoky rework of the original. Look out for the Warehouse Mix dropping November 1st.

Spanning the last decade, world renowned DJ and producer Jamie Jones has pioneered his own definitive sound. His global event series Paradise is now in its eight season at the magical Ibiza home of DC10, whilst also landing in cities like Miami, New York, LA, Moscow and Toronto. As it nears 150 releases, helping to shape the careers of Patrick Topping, Detlef and Richy Ahmed in the process, Jones and his label continue to cement a place in dance music history. House favourites The Martinez Brothers are near completion of another stacked summer schedule that has seen them throw their Cuttin’ Headz parties on the White Isle for the first time, as well as playing at Circoloco, Paradise and Music On. Firmly established as one of the biggest names in the industry, releasing their own productions and that of other big hitters like DJ Sneak, Loco Dice and Guti on their Cuttin’ Headz label, they have also recently mixed the latest edition of the Fabric presents series.
