Formed in Budapest, Hungary, the members behind the trio baseLAB are: vocalist Ildi Ferencz, composer and keys Marc Charmet and drummer Péter Dohy.

All three members come from ultimately different musical backgrounds - contemporary/alternative/rock/pop - ranging from soundtrack to ambient onto electronic music eventually moulded together into a delicate and refined style, a one of a kind lyrical alternative.

Main influences are: Sting, Claude Debussy, James Blake, Fink, Seal, Nina Simone.

The songs are mainly written in English and French however the trio enjoys playing covers as well… This is how their unique sound was found and established.
