You made it! It's good to have You here, please make Yourself at home. :)

There can be times in life where it feels like You know exactly where You're going, what You're doing, and who You are. Times when You feel like You know a thing or two, and You've got this world figured out.

Then there can be times where the direction isn't clear, the action isn't obvious, and You are no longer certain of who You are. Times when You feel like You truly don't know anything, and You don't have anything figured out at all.

This song is an honest admission of that feeling of knowing nothing. The focus is not so much on a loss of what was once known, but rather the clarity, lightness (of weight) and spaciousness that allows new knowledge to sprout and grow. The false ending/bridge of the song is to trick You, just incase You thought You knew what was going to happen! >:D

In some way, this song is also about letting go and trusting that the knowledge that You need will appear when it is needed. If my head is constantly cluttered with repetitive thoughts about what I already know - it is hard for new ideas to find room, it is hard for new information to be processed, and it is hard to truly listen to someone whose experience and knowledge is different than my own.

How do we know when to KNOW, and when to LET GO and allow ourselves to think, feel, process, discern, or listen?

Oddly, to me 'not knowing' means to relate to a moment as if it is fresh - to investigate it without projecting what I think I know onto it. To perpetually be in the process of learning and understanding. I like 'not knowing' a whole lot!

But what do I know! :)
