Anti Anxiety 1 Hour

Kalani is the birthplace of this wave of Ecstatic Dance as we know it and has held a dance strong for 25+ years. After a year break due to the pandemic, they have reopened for a reunion of the dance tribes of the Big Island and dance tribes around the world, providing an incredible movement church ecstatic dance spiritual journey experience on the dance floor every Sunday. It was an honor to lead the dance journey there this July. My intention was to incorporate music global music reflecting varying emotions to send our prayers, intentions and interconnected spirits around the world. Ecstatic Dance Journey at Totality Festival, in San Diego CA 𓆃 Weaving together a mix of the vibrations of nature, with deep bass drops, choppy unexpected flows, ethereal tones and emotive songs to bring you into a hypnotic meditative state. 

Zana's sets are accompanied with Live vocals and instruments that you only to get experience if you join her live!

After playing an Epic summer of festivals in New Zealand I was super excited to get back to my roots and play an Ecstatic Dance for my community in Auckland (NZ). 

This set is a gentle dance wave that includes some singalongs, and a couply bangers and then some really beautiful melodic house tunes to finish. 

Throw this on when cooking dinner, going to the gym or you are in need of a good boogie.

Kia Ora Dance crew!

This was my first event back in my hometown after being abroad and it was beautiful to see so many familiar faces and feel you all on the dance-floor.

This dance came at a time when there was A LOT going on, not only for me as the facilitator, but in the wider collective. Not to mention we were midway through Eclipse season. My co- facilitator Lexi and I took the opportunity to work with the polarity that comes with the   lunar eclipse, dark meets light and there is the potential for our shadow to come to the surface. This isn't always easy to see and feel so we worked with the adrenals throughout this dance,  tuning first into the calm state of our body available to us and slowly feeling into the stress responses that we feel in life, moment to moment, which ultimately are there to keep us safe- and how do we switch between the calm and stressed by self regulating, whilst also getting curious - curious to look at what comes up without judgement. By moving through these responses with awareness and a felt sense of returning to calm whenever we need with the tools we have- utilising the breath, focusing on your back body, counting a box breath, tapping, engaging in the senses, essentially coming into the present moment. 

This journey is deep and punchy, but has heaps of space and ends in a beautiful, peaceful reset nervous system. 

Will be sick for a gym sesh too.

My first ever online guided breathwork mix.

Breathwork is a powerful meditation tool used to bring in more oxygen to our brains and lungs, allowing for our bodies to operate at a much higher capacity than we normally are used to. The benefits of performing deep, intense breathing are endless, including elevated states of consciousness, greater blood circulation, faster muscle recovery, reduced stress, boosted immune system & greater will power to name a few...

In this mix I have used the Wim Hof breathing technique, which is a personal favourite of mine. I do not own any rights to this technique and all rights to this practice belong to him and his team. I am simply promoting this meditation in order to help spread the positive benefits of this beautiful breathwork.
