FunKamel is the musical project of Moti Landesman & Neria Orbach.
The two mix a wide selection of ethnic music flavors, with a strong middle-eastern influence, layered on a variety of electronic styles.
FunKamel was formed in the underground scenes of Tel-Aviv and later on, they stepped out from the bubbling city to perform in many colorful gatherings in around the globe. From the vast deserts of Sinai to the crowded venues of Berlin and much more, Moti and Neria ride on their magic Kamel to displaying their Funky approach towards multi-cultural music around the world.
At the Beginning of 2019, Funkamel founded their record label 'Camel Riders Records' with Laorz aka Laroz Camel Rider. Together they have built a big family that showcases constantly a cutting-edge catalog of multiple delightful electronic genres, fused with traditional folk and organic music.

I didn’t write this before the set. I couldn’t.
I had six hours of music curated, but this wasn’t the kind of set you plan down to the second. This was a story that needed to be told in the moment, with every track chosen by feeling—by reading the room, channeling the energy, listening to my ancestors.

When the music began, I let it guide me.

The Beginning – A Clash of Worlds

It started with “The Clique”—the sound of history colliding. African people stolen from their lands, forced onto ships, while Indigenous people in Brazil watched their world change. Their land was no longer theirs, and a violent collision of cultures began.

From that pain came “Keyta,” a Mandinka name meaning leadership—a call for someone to rise, even in chains. African strength pulsed through the track, resilient and unbroken.

Then came “Ahora,” the moment cultures began to mix. Portuguese, African dialects, and Indigenous tongues collided into something new. Brazil began to take form.

“Bonita” arrived like a slow, hypnotic sway. European fascination with Brazilian women’s beauty and sensuality—a force of nature that demanded admiration.

The energy shifted with “Ana,” honoring the Indigenous Curandeiros—the healers connected to the Earth. This track carried the whispers of the Amazon, the spirits of ancient rituals.

From history came “Taka Tuko,” a Bantu-Swahili mantra blending Afro-Brazilian, Indigenous, and Latin cultures, opening a spiritual portal where new life emerged.

The New World Takes Shape

The techno wave hit with “Along Came Polly” (Zac Brazilian DJ remix), propelling Brazil’s evolution into the future—tradition and innovation hand in hand.

Before we lost ourselves in the future, we remembered the Four Elements—Earth, Wind, Water, Fire. Brazil, blessed with fertile lands, was planted with seeds of many cultures, growing into something unstoppable.

Then came “Diwali,” a celebration of unity across religions—Indigenous, African, Catholic, Spiritist. In Brazil, belief is a blend of everything.

The Shadows That Linger

But the story of Brazil isn’t only joy. “Gospel” came in heavy, reminding us of forced conversions, Catholic oppression, and massacres. Yet, the spirit of the Indigenous people never died.

Then “Ta Da Da”  carried us forward—the sound of diverse voices trying to sing the same song (metaphoric embracing each other's culture), harmonizing into survival.

As the connection grows, It was time for "Samba". The drums, the heartbeat of Brazil. A rhythm that survived slavery and defied oppression, embodying freedom, spirit, and Carnaval.

With “Solitude,” I honored African roots—Candomblé, Umbanda—the spiritual fusion that held Brazil together. This wasn’t just music; it was ancestral memory.

Then came “Blinding Lights,” “Dope Dance”— Brazil’s wild, unstoppable spirit. No longer divided—just one, no divisions, we all become 1.

“Um Manna” grounded us in sacred rituals, from the past, the cosmos, the infinite, the extraterrestial connections, from Matchu Picchu and sacrede spots in south america where we recived information from other galaxies.

Carnaval, Love, and the Final Release

“French Kiss” brought Carnaval’s sensuality, the ecstasy of touch and rhythm, with lança perfume in the air, where bodies dance, touch and connect. “Si Quieres” fused Latin sensuality with techno, inviting us to dance and lose ourselves in life’s rhythm.

And finally, “Kak Nikogda” took us on one last journey, inspired by Röyksopp’s haunting landscapes.

Then, “Capricorn - 20 Hz.” The peak. The climax. Melodic techno meeting Escola de Samba drums. The ultimate release.

The Journey Ends, but the Music Lives On

This set was more than music. It was a story—pain, resilience, oppression, and triumph. Brazil—wild, beautiful, chaotic, unstoppable

And in that moment, playing for Fox & Badge Carnivalentines, I wasn’t just DJing. I was channeling something beyond myself

CAROLES - LIVE @ FOX&BADGE LONDON

Set recorded live at the Carnivalentines edition of the Fox&Badge party on 14th February 2025 in London.

A melodic DJ set specially crafted to bring a bit of Brazilian spirit to the Carnivalentines edition. It mixes the essence of Rio Carnival with the hypnotic vibe of techno, which is the heart of the event. 

I played a blend of Brazilian Afro House with touches of Umbanda and original productions from various producers in our country, representing Carnival, the most authentic party in Brazil.

This party was a very personal experience for me: after 18 years in my career, I’d never experienced anything like it. It was such a special night, where everyone had their own unique energy and every person was, in their own way, the star of the party! No matter where you went, the energy exchange was intense and mutual, something hard to forget.

I feel incredibly privileged to have been an active part of this event.

Set gravado ao vivo na edição Carnivalentines da festa Fox&Bagde dia 14 de fevereiro de 2025 em Londres. 

Um dj set melódico pensado especialmente para trazer brasilidade para a edição Carnivalentes. Trazendo a essência do carnaval carioca sem perder a essência hipnótica do techno, característico do evento. Apresentei uma mescla de afro house brasileiro com pitadas de umbanda e produções autorais de diversos produtores do nosso país, representando o Carnaval, a festa mais autêntica do Brasil. 

Essa festa foi uma experiência pessoal para mim: após 18 anos de carreira eu nunca tinha vivido nada igual, foi uma festa muito especial onde cada pessoa tinha uma energia única e todas individualmente eram a estrela da festa! Por onde você andava a troca de energia era intensa e mútua, algo díficil de esquecer.  

Me sinto uma grande privilegiada em ter feito parte ativa desse evento, vida longa a comunidade Fox&Badge!!

The Pulse Of Life

Chicago powerhouse Orville Kline joins the Almost Like We Met roster with two heavyweight collaborations alongside Deep Cuddle and Ivan Dragolov. Kicking off the release is Whatever I Want with Ivan Dragolov, a percussive slammer packed with 808s, a rolling bassline, and a no-frills vocal hook that sticks. On the flip, the title track Cookie Monster with Deep Cuddle drops into a lofi-leaning groove full of quirky fills, saturated character, and 'you guessed it' a wild Cookie Monster vocal. It's weird, it's fun, and it absolutely slaps.

Orville Kline, Ivan Dragolov - Whatever I Want [Almost Like We Met]

Hailing from Brazil, the sound of Dayane Leanddro is passion, energy and spirit. Whether deep, bass, progressive house, tech house, EDM or techno, her beautiful and soulful soundscapes will take you on a musical journey and put a smile on your face. 

Growing up listening to vinyls of Brazilian singers and with a passion for dance, Dayane’s natural sense of rhythm shines through as a DJ. Her love of music and dance is unconventional and varied - She has the Brazilian samba spirit, but she was also a classical ballet dancer. In her 20s, she became equally addicted to the vibes of electronic music. Attending festivals in Brazil, such as Experience and Tribe, sparked her desire to become a DJ. Her main influences at that time were legends including Tiësto, Carol Cox, Infected Mushrooms, Armin Van Buuren and Faithless. She was particularly inspired by Brazilian producers like Vintage Culture, Gabe, Gui Boratto, Cat Dealers and Illuzionize.

Keen to explore the world and get into the European music scene, Dayane moved to London in 2016. She fell in love with travel and while in Ibiza, while partying to Vintage Culture and his crew, she realised that becoming a professional DJ was her ultimate dream. As soon as she arrived back in London, she enrolled at London Sound Academy. Since graduating from the elite course, she has played at legendary London venues including Egg, Sushi Samba, Cyberdog and Ministry of Sound, including in the massive room 103 supporting Nicky Romero and Lost Frequencies. She made her international debut in Bulgaria 🇧🇬  followed by The NL Club and Jungle in Amsterdam and will shortly be Dj-in her first tour in Ibiza from the 7th to the 19th of August. 

Keeping everyone dancing and smiling, the crowd can feel truly connected to Dayane’s vibe. Keep an eye on Dayane Leanddro, for exotic and heart felt beats, expect to see her contagious smile and energy playing the sunset down in Ibiza and worldwide.
