First generation students, field working students, Bakersfield College faculty, and DACA recipients share their personal experiences with the hardships they have faced before and throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. From loss of work to pressure to continue school, each student shared their stories to what they have done to support themselves and their family while being enrolled in college. Some Bakersfield College faculty and administrators shared their perspectives of what those students have went through and the support they have received from the community or university. Even with some similarities each story is different in their own way.
